I would rate it 50/50 that he's gone after this season.

I personally don’t think he will get fired. He’s won back to back champions leagues, and got to the semis again this year wth a chance to win again.

It’s football and you never know, but I’d be stunned if they canned him this year.

I hope they do win it again this year, can’t stand the thought of Liverpool winning it. Their fans still go on about winning it in 2005.

We play like crap, and still win.

What a weird year. LFC and RM are both flawed teams, but they could meet in the final.

Not surprising. No one has looked particularly impressive. LFC, if nothing else, seems to be riding some momentum behind Salah's prolific year.

p.s. As a Chelsea fan, it bugs the hell out of me to see players like Salah, De Bruyne and Lukaku shine after Mourinho buried them when they were Blues. Mourinho's lack of patience is always felt after he flames out. Don't get me wrong, he wins but he doesn't sustain because he doesn't take the time to develop many players.

I hear you, but does CFC ever develop any of its young players? I don’t know that it’s all about Mou. He may be the worst, but it seems like CFC always has 20-30 young players on loan. Actually, I just looked it up, and the CFC web site lists 38. I realize that this is a legitimate part of the business model, but is it any surprise that a guy like Salah would slip away?

Is it all Mourinho's fault though?

You can't predict how good a reserve player might end up. There isn't a guarantee that the likes of Abraham, Loftus-Cheek, and Batshuayi might end up as world-beaters; but when you only have room for 22 players on the squad it's inevitable that most of the younger up-and-coming players will want to leave for more regular playing time.

I'll give you Salah but De Bruyne was already performing well enough to be given more run.

Mourinho is like Phil Jackson in the sense that he only wants to play with adults that he can count on. The problem is that you end up paying top dollar for stars while you lose some really good prospects who will be just as good.

Arsenal might’ve missed their shot tonight. 80 mins at home with a man extra and we only manage a draw and give up an away goal.

Advantage to Atletico now...

Koscielny is an overrated CB; makes a hash of the simplest of clearances.

Now he is, he's lost a step and still coasts by on his reputation and the fact that he's better than Mustafi. He once was a really good player for us, but his peak is long gone, and Arsenal need to send all of their centre backs packing and go get some upgrades ASAP if they are ever going to truly contend for the league.

Holy (bleep), what a game!

We are again in the final!

But I think Zidane made some bad decisions today and it almost resulted in disaster. Big mistake not to start Casemiro, and then took him too long to replace Lucas at RB, who was obviously struggling (Modric helped a lot on that side). But it somehow worked out.

Bayern is a great team, but they just came up short.

Bayern almost always bottles it in the latter stages of the CL. If Liverpool make it to the finals, Madrid better give them a thrashing. Sick of all the Scouser supporting pundits waxing lyrical on their (allegedly) unstoppable attack.

Obviously I want Roma to accomplish a miracle tomorrow, but this Madrid team is so unpredictable, they can both lose big and win big against Liverpool. The defense is a joke, the midfield has regressed (Kroos has had a terrible season), Benzema scores every two months, etc. But what they have is the ability for individual brilliance at any moment, so they can play mediocre football and still win.

I'm glad the final is not at the Bernabeu. I have more confidence in the team away from home.

Unai Emery to Arsenal. I’m a little surprised, but that’s not a bad pick.

Unai speaks very little English. Dude better buy a Rosetta Stone membership.

He's not a bad coach. PSG just happens to have a revolving coaching door, just like Chelsea.

Conte is going to be sacked. It's just a matter of time now that the FA Cup is behind them. Chelsea would have done well to pick up Emery. Wonder who they pick to manage this time.

Good question. Because of the revolving door, I'm not sure whether the Chelsea job is considered to be all that desirable. Enrique and Allegri are the obvious candidates, but we shall see.

I think Enrique would require a culture change at Chelsea that is unlikely. He seems to need the space to build a team that matches his philosophy and Abramovich is not that guy.

Patrick Vieira may or may not be heading to Nice. He is kinda, sorta denying it.
