Look at his help defense and the little things he does |
Amazing clip
Shows a lot about his BBIQ always seeming to be in the right place. Also shows a lot about his hustle and effort. Really baffles me how some guys like Caruso have it and others like Kuz just seem to be totally lost. |

Ha ha. I just looked back at page 39 when we signed him this summer. I was pretty hyped. I woulda been so pissed if we didn’t resign him. |

I made it a priority this game to pay closer attention to both Caruso and Kuz on both sides of the ball and not that most didn't already know this but it's amazing how far apart they are on intangibles and bbiq. Kuz had at least 5-6 plays wrecked because of this while Caruso saved or created nearly as many plays because of his.. Polar opposite affect on both ends.
Great game once again by Caruso, he's just a straight up baller. |

Better defender: Caruso this year or Zo when we had him? _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

A healthy Lonzo, especially his rookie year with the 2.4% steal rate and 2.0% block rate. Imagine if Lonzo had AD|D39 behind him.
But that's the past. Alex is doing his thing. |

If Caruso doesn't make the All Star team, he should at least make the Rising Stars team. |

Love what this guy brings each and every night.
Frank trusts him so much that he is now a regular in our closing lineup. |

The sequence at around 1:02 in the Denver game is pretty amazing:
Caruso helps on defense stopping a Murray drive and as soon as Murray dishes Caruso runs at Barton and contests the three in the corner.
I think every high school, college, and pro coach should show this clip to their players and say "If you aren't going to play D this hard on every play go sit on the bench".
In addition to the his hustle he used great fundamentals:
1. He beat Murray to his spot and jumped straight up to avoid the foul
2. He ran to the side of Barton's shooting hand to hurry the shot without fouling him.
How many times have we seen players commit game losing fouls in either of these situation? _________________ Later,

When was the last time the Lakers had three legit MVP-candidates on the same team? |

He had interest from GS, Dallas and some other teams this past summer. But, he waited for the Lakers. He waited for us |
