Caruso leads the Lakers with a 95.5 defensive rating. Sometimes numbers do tell the truth. He comes in and plays some of the best second unit defense you will see in the league.

Fish was clutch. Kobe trusted him to make big shots. 2009 finals vs Orlando Magic for example. And not the type of PG who'd make dumb mistakes and turn the ball over when the game gets close. All crucial traits for a role player in a championship team.

Fish was clutch indeed.
But if we had a better PG, the Lakers wouldnt have needed those late game heroics.
However I do give Fish love for his 2nd stint with the Lakers only because he brought some stability to the team especially when compared to Smush being our PG.

Fish is so overrated, not a good comparison. His claim to fame is simply being a PG who was willing to bring the ball up court and immediately give it to Kobe while being a decent shooter. His defense was horrible and his ability to finish a layup was among the worse I ever seen.

You need late game heroics and heroics in general from your role players no matter who your team is. Even if w had a better PG we’d need heroics from someone other than the stars. The Ray Allens, the Fishers, the Horrys, etc.

Gotta Love Caruso. Take a look at this photo with the Laker team with him on the upper right

I had taught someone photo bombed the picture, but its Caruso. He looks like a small man among giants..but we all know he indeed is not a small man at all. Don't judge a book by its cover the old saying!

He looks like my 12 year old nephew there.

That is a great photo, though. I don't think we'd be having the same atmosphere and chemistry with Mr. Load Management on the team.

probably not, but that's a fab picture of Ice-T in the forefront...and anytime you have him on your team, that's win in my book!

Oh god please no!..don't want to even imagine Kawhi on this team the way he is playing so far. AD is playing through injuries and pain and sickness..and to see a guy who just wants to take a night off..that be demeaning!

Best game of the season tonight

When he's scoring and driving, he's almost the complete package

Caruso flexing some scoring ability today. Hopefully the first game of many. He looked more like how he ended last season.

The Accountant got 30 mins today.
Mostly due to Rondo being out and LeBron being in foul trouble.
But I'm looking forward to him getting low to mid 20 mins per game.

Caruso vs Josh Hart.....

Can't believe AC has gotten to the point where I would rather keep him than Hart. Griffin messed up! Lol!

With his 2 out of 3 from the 3 pt line tonight, he is now shooting 34.8% from out there. He just needs to pull that up to 37%+.

A league average 35.5% would be good too, and with his new ability to finish at the rim (which he wasn't so good at earlier in the year) just shooting a league average from 3 will open up driving lanes and help round out his game.

Then all that's missing is a good passing game and handles and he would be legit legit

Tbh, at this point I don't think it's really close. AC all day, every day.

That was tongue and cheek. I'm just happy he's stepping up and replenishing some of the youth we lost.

Definitely.
AD will make us forget about BI and Lonzo.
AC will make us forget about Hart.
THT will make us forget about Culver.
