Great stuff from Alex!

The next big test? Can he "dance" at the parade?

I'll bet anything it is better than Madsen . At least I hope so as a white guy who dances like Madsen. We can't all be that way

I was so frustrated when they didn't play him to start the 4th. Then saw him come in for the final stretch to end the game and realized he probably had a minute restriction and Vogel wanted him in there for the crucial end game stretch and he absolutely did not disappoint for a single second he was out there.

It's crazy how rapidly his game has developed and evolved over the last year. He has been making some great passes and you can tell the game has slowed down even more for him as he does endless small things on the court that are not only effort driven but extremely high iq to get him or his teammates a much easier shot that many casual fans have no idea is even happening (I don't even see half of them until I watch replays).

If he continues to improve his handles this off season I think he has the potential to be a legit playmaking guard to help Lebron out a bit next season at times. With Boogie probably coming back and hopefully us trading for or signing a more traditional guard that can pass well and shoot it looks like Lebron could potentially have much more help next season which he will def. need being a year older.

He seldom makes the wrong play. There he is, a guard, making a screen on the biggest, baddest dude in the league, at exactly the right time, and set well enough that LeBron gets the open layup. a little more handles, more work on the shooting stroke, and he is a legit 30 minute a game guard next season.

He might be our best team defender. He switches very well, even multiple times in one possession. He will sometimes even recognize what they're going to do and call it out. His rotations are quick and on point. Love seeing intelligence on defense

He had a sore hamstring. Didn't play in the second half.

I hope to God he didn't make it worse

Doesn’t look right - same energy not there. I’d sit him and throw Waiters in the fire.

Did you know Caruso was part of the greatest comeback in March Madness history? Down 12 with 35 sec left....

For those who may have missed this (myself included), Zach Lowe had Alex Caruso on the podcast a few weeks ago. As a Lakers fan and a Caruso fan, I enjoyed this a lot.

We know about Caruso's perimeter defense. But how about some of his interior defensive data compared to other Point Guards:

% of Shots at Rim Contested: 16%, 83rd percentile, A-

Blocks / 75 DPossessions: 0.6, 82nd percentile, A-

Rim dFG% vs Expected: -0.3%, 92nd percentile, A

Going to need him in those AB minutes.

The thing i remember most is when he visibly frustrated Doncic by locking him up and not taking the flop bait

Was big today. If he can consistently give us a solid 18-20 mins a game, it'll be huge.

Pro's:
-He got to the line a lot by attacking the rim.
-Very good help defense and even bodying up in individual defense
-Had some good reads offensively especially to Cacok.
-His open threes are great

Con:
-Turnovers. He has great court awareness, but not a flawless passer as LeBron or Rondo.

The only thing I disagree with is that Rondo is a "flawless passer" or has been for the past several seasons.
