Fun stat of the night: Jayson Tatum and Alex Caruso have the same number of 30 point games in the 2018-19 season. _________________ Under New Management |

IMO he has shown to me he is the Worlds greatest 5th guard....But as of now he is fast becoming a real rotation guy for the future.... |

This was my take last season.
I feel the same way about Svi this season even though he's no longer with us.

I saw Caruso during Summer League so I was higher on him than most and I cannot deny he was bad during his first nervous appearances. He bricked a few wide open jumpers and he threw away quite a few passes. The Knicks game was the first time I saw him relax and play like the guy I saw last summer. So I don't blame those who were hard on him who didn't watch Summer League because he was really poor until the last two games.
I just read that Luke views him as a rotational player, and I hope we sign him up before someone else gets him. |

Lakers rookies are not allowed to make mistakes, drafted or undrafted! |

Oh yeah, it's gonna suck when Rondo comes back and Caruso doesn't. _________________ Under New Management |

My guess is that Caruso will go on a tear of good games next year and than Magic will trade him for someone we never heard of. |

I really enjoyed that Summer League, with Lonzo and Kuzma backed up by the Accounting Firm of Caruso, Thomas and Wear. That's where we first saw how AC fought for every possession, and could hit the clutch 3 now and then as well.
I had the impression for a long time that he had a low ceiling but his defense and hustle would make up for his lack of explosiveness on offense. The last couple weeks had been an eye-opener, even before tonight.
Tonight? Wow, he just tore that low ceiling idea to shreds!!
Sign him up Magic. No more G League, he belongs in the NBA. |

PAY THE MAN!
He can play on and off the ball. Great combo guard to have off the bench. |

He always was hard working and played solid D and could run the offense. But the offense...where did that come from??? This year he really has stepped up at the end of the year. He still needs to work on his handle but he is playing legit. |

Caruso and the best combo guard who can shoot they can get is a nobrainer at this point. And it still won’t happen. |

I haven't posted in this thread in more than a year; wow what a difference a year makes! Or perhaps I should say what a difference in fan perception last couple weeks has made.
It's clear AC's grown as a player, his scrappiness on defense is still there, but the way he exploded on a playoff bound Clipper team is a clear signal he's found his confidence in his offensive game, and that's the only thing IMO that was keeping him down. I don't see anyone arguing he doesn't belong in the NBA anymore.
I just hope he's sporting a Laker uniform next season. |

Reminds me of a CPU player with a 65 rating turned up to hall of fame difficulty.
2k has clearly traumatized me.
