KCP is going to have a career year playing next to Lonzo plus he has a lot riding on this season for his future contract. I can see him putting up: 16.5ppg/4rpg/3apg on 43/38/83 shooting.

Any offense to me is just icing on the cake. This team needs defenders and I think that KCP has the right attitude to be nasty on that end.

I would love it if KCP jump started the defense. I do like how our FA signings all talk about communication on defense. It seemed to really be lacking last year. No one talked, defensively.

Lonzo is going to help KCP get a huge offer next summer, likely from another team.

2 of 4 of these players will be Lakers in 2018 (LBJ/PG13/WB/Boogie)

With the amount of times I've seen people refer to him as KFC, I'm starting a petition to give him a new secondary nickname: The Colonel

I like it. There has already been The Captain, The Admiral, and The General.

I'd rather people just use the right acronym.

Only bloggers and sportscucksters call him KCP.

His friends and family call him:

K.C. and Ken

When some in the media started calling him KCP, his crew started joking around calling him KFC.

But it's K.C. or Ken.

Btw, the Caldwell is Ken's mother Rhonda's last name and Pope is hid dad Lawrence's last name.

Does anyone else see this as an issue?

Lakers are paying him big money based on last years numbers, so if his numbers increase, he will be expecting even MORE money (per year).

Based on his previous numbers, he is perhaps a $10/$12mil/per year player.

Which could work out for the Lakers, because even if he ups his numbers, I don't see many teams lining up with $20mil/year long term contract offers...

He is a $18 mil per year player, I don't see how that can be disputed.

Can't argue with that logic!

He's almost the perfect guard to play next to Lonzo. The way he runs the floor he should get 3-4 easy buckets a game with Zo.

KCP is a pretty good closer. Here he is battling Kemba Walker: https://youtu.be/7tPg-15dBaU. He hit a few clutch 3s to help them climb back into the game and eventually win it in OT.
