dont understand this take....he is young and has months to deal with any nagging items. I want to win. |
LOL. I've seen enough...SL is to see what you've got and give fringe players a shot at a TC invite imo. When a guy proves he is better than SL you take him out of there imo. | I actually think SL is useful for rookies. It's not nearly as important for second year players who have already had a season's worth of NBA experience. But last night for example, Lonzo learning to balance the passing versus scoring responsibilities of the modern point guard position, that's valuable experience that will help prepare him for the season. I hope he plays for the rest of SL. And if he leads us to the SL championship, he deserves a statue next to Magic outside of Staples. |

I don't either. I just wanna see the kid play. Hell, bring back brandon while we're at it. Let's win this (bleep)! |
Who won SL last year?
And did it matter? |
Winning always matters. |

Absolutely. Trust me, if the Lakers played at 1pm, I am not going to bother with the rest of the games. That late game on ESPN 2 will have a bunch of empty seats and roving shots of people falling asleep in the crowd.
The guy who ran the SPL in Long Beach back in the day should've always scheduled the Lakers for last. |

Lonzo needs 12 assists and 16 rebounds to average a triple double for summer league. |

Will be interesting to see how Ball does tonight - every game hes shown improvement. However, the one thing most rookies can be counted on for is inconsistency, so if he doesn't have a great game, people, please don't go off the deep end.
I saw Kay Felder play over the weekend in person, as well as last year and that dude can play. Lakers will likely have problems staying in front of that "mini spark plug". He plays way beyond his short size. |

Is Lonzo going to play 35+ minutes again? Selfishly, I hope so. |

Let's win so we can find out who's shoes he'll be wearing Saturday night. It's summertime. Time to try on all these shoes.
Seriously, the further we go in the tournament, the more experience the rookies will get. Go Lakers!

I don't think I've been so hyped for a Lakers game in years!
My body is ready. |
