Damn It Feels Good to Win Something Again

4 years without playoffs.

7 years since our last title.

I know we are a blessed fanbase (and spoiled) but man this feels good. To see our guys taste victory, even in SPL action is tremendous. This will hopefully be a major stepping stone for guys like Lonzo and Kuzma.

Just enjoy that we've won something again and I'm increasingly sanguine and hopeful about our future.

The Lonzo effect already got us a SL title. Now it's time for him to get that ROY and playoff appearance.

it means very little if anything but kuzma and lonzo balling are good signs for the future, hopefully. of course its better to win than the opposite and all guys played pretty good team ball, was cool to see

I'll take it, nice to see Ball and Kuzma (and Ingram in one game) completely showing out and the rest of the team was fantastic and played great team basketball.

Seeing the ball moving as it was tonight (without Lonzo) was quite different than the Lakers summer league or regular season teams of the last few seasons.

It may end up meaning nothing, but I like the idea of establishing a winning culture and Lonzo over Fultz in my opinion was HUGE for that.

The clearest sign of Zo's leadership was how the guys kept running the system and playing unselfishly even though he was not on the floor tonight. I don't care if it's summer league...winning is a habit. I am glad that we won the SL despite not having our 2 best players for the championship game (and starting 0-2 - the two games I got to watch live

). It showed the grit and determination of our younger guys; they are changing the narrative of recent years around here. These guys are playing hard and fully buying into the team concept, and the basketball is beautiful to watch!

Feels great. The whole summer league series was good fun to watch.

I definitely feel much better about our draft picks. Lakers look like they got some of the best picks in the draft.

Tally one for the front office and coaching staff, and take one off for the nut burgers freaking out after game one.

It is a solid first step in the quest to bring the winning tradition back to the Lakers franchise. We seem to (finally) have a unified vision, actionable plan, and key personnel in place to build a solid foundation for future success.
