Assuming the roster stays as is how many wins do the Lakers win next season?

With how dominant Lonzo was in Summer League I have no doubt he's ready to make an immediate impact and probably win Rookie of the Year.

Kuzma looks like another Larry Nance type player with a better jump shot.

Lopez and Caldwell Pope are legit starters in this league at the shooting guard and center position which the Lakers haven't really had the last few years.

Randle looks like he's in the best shape of his life and Kuzma at worst should push him do be better.

Caldwell Pope puts Clarkson back on the bench in a role more suitable for his skillset.

Luke in Year 2 as head coach should be better. As we saw last season players aren't the only ones that have growing pains, but I feel confident Luke will be an excellent coach in this league with the afermentioned experience as well as getting better talent and better fitting players for his system.

I like this roster a lot. I think they have a shot at making the playoffs in the West. They should definitelybe better then last season. I project them winning between 35-45 games. I'll say the Lakers finish 42-40.

Best record they've had since 2013 when they were the 7th seed. I think they'll be the 8th seed in the West. I really do.

I'd say 38-40 wins, because Lonzo is as impactful as LeBron and he has a better supporting cast than rookie Bron (though Boozer/Z isn't too bad):

I am going 45 based on we started year at 10-10 last year and ended at 6-6 that is 16-16 for almost half the season.

we have upgraded every starting position if you expect Randle to improve so I am going with 45

I would like say 40 but there's going to be growing pains that unfortunately are going to lead to loses at the beginning. It's going to take a few games before Walton realizes who works best with Lonzo. Some players are going to start but it's not going to be smooth like we saw in the summer league. There's going to be great passes that lead to nothing but broken plays because certain players will not give up bad habits. In fact some players will never give up bad habits and will not be part of this team eventually. At least Walton and his staff has options and Magic will intercede if he sees problems.
This forum will probably be at each other's throats because people will not accept their favorite player's are not fitting in. Again I hope it's roses all the way but I don't see it. Like Potato head used to say it's a process.

Golden State Warriors
San Antonio Spurs
Houston Rockets
Oklahoma City Thunder
Minnesota Timberwolves
Portland Trail Blazers

Memphis Grizzlies
Denver Nuggets
New Orleans Pelicans

Los Angeles Clippers
Utah Jazz
Dallas Mavericks
Sacramento Kings
Phoenix Suns

i see portland and minnesota taking the clippers and jazz playoff spots. im considering them locked. pelicans dont have depth but the rondo addition is a plus for them. its hard to count out memphis, they did lose zbo but signed tyreke, and the nuggets added millsap(not sure about gallinari). jazz lost hayward and hill so they drop although they signed rubio, sefolosha and drafted mitchell. clippers lost cp3, crawford and reddick, they added lou, dekker, beverley and reed, so they'll drop in the standings.

i just want to see the lakers do better than 3 of the bottom teams out west, dallas, sac and phx. i want +40 wins but ill be happy with 36-38

Realistically high 30s. I'm hoping for 42-40 and sneaking into that 8th spot.

These point guards are gonna be out for blood when it comes to Lonzo

Generously I'll say 33 wins but more likely 28-30

The Lonzo effect on everyone's style of play is a game changer. Kuzma's shooting could also be a game changer for spacing. 40
