Lol, you are changing the topic of discussion, I'm trying to bring positive vibe but that doesn't matter to you cause pissing on a poster is more important.

Yup.

I think many people got caught up in the hype of BI as a 20ppg and Lonzo as "the one".

Fact is we're got nobody outside Brook who is an efficient scorer and can do so whenever needed.

I've been pretty upbeat this whole offseason but after watching us beat the Kings I've come to the conclusion we cant even run a halfway decent half-court offense.

I don't see us making the playoffs and we will be a bottom 10 team.

Hope I'm wrong but after watching our guys play last night, they dont know what they're doing and they're way too young.

It might be acceptable but betting on your own team usually isn't a smart play

You usually lose money when you do since you have no objectivity.

I wonder how many fans actually bet AGAINST there own team? so if they lose (their team that is) they make money but if they win they have the joy of there team winning...

The poll is obviously bias, but IMHO Laker fans have been leaning towards pesimism for the last few years for obvious reasons, for the poll to be this way tell me that their confident Ball as a rookie can at least get us to the playoffs as compared to when Magic won the Finals, ofcourse the team make up, chemistry, hall of famers, that the 80's teams had is an unfair comparison

Just for fun.

1979 & 2017

Magic, Lonzo (rookie season)
Kareem, Lopez
Wilkes, Ingram
Nixon, Clarkson
Cooper, KCP or Brewer
Landsberger, Nance
Worthy(not '79), Kuzma
Carr, Randle
Holland, Caruso
Haywood, Bryant or Bogut
Chones, Zubac? (Maybe more like Divac)

The main problem with the poll, is that it is poorly constructed leading to too many people interpreting the question, and answers, in different ways.

Whether something CAN happen, can be interpreted as a matter of likelihood or mathematical feasibility and that wasn't clarified in the poll question.

Grrrrr.

The only teams I think we're better than in the WC are Sacramento and Phoenix.
But the Pelicans game will be a good measuring stick.

.

I agree, we should see if this team can handle business, we have been let down far to many times in recent years.

I'm not saying they should be winning a championship right away. Just that there are some similarities to their games. Maybe they could follow similar roles on the team from '79 as well.
Magic (Buck) was the leader, pushing the ball up the floor, passing, scoring, rebounding.
Kareem (Cap) was the veteran big and low post threat.
Cooper (Coop) defensive stopper.
Wilkes (silk) 20ft layup, great movement without the ball, soft hands.
Nixon (stormin Norman) quick scoring guard.
Landsberger (?) enforcer, rebounder.
There are some similarities, yea?

Let's see the top 7 are essentially set bar health.

1. Warriors
2. Spurs
3. Rockets
4. Thunder
5. Trailblazers
6. Minnesota
7. Clippers
---------------
Denver
Jazz
New Orleans
Lakers
Memphis
Sacramento
Mavericks
Suns

Don't think we're better than Denver, Utah, or New Orleans this season, so we're likely not making the playoffs.

Anyone want to try to disagree with that?
