Houston Rockets
Golden State Warriors
San Antonio Spurs
Portland Trail Blazers
Minnesota Timberwolves
Denver Nuggets
New Orleans Pelicans
Oklahoma City Thunder
Those are the Top 8.
Is there any team you realistically see us taking any spot away from? _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I don’t think it will be the Lakers in top 8, but I’m not a huge believer in the blazers from what I have seen and the pelicans are kind of a ticking time bomb especially if Davis gets hurt.
But it’s likely someone like the grizzlies, if anyone, who would unseat either blazers or pelicans. If the lakers could shoot, they would be in that conversation imo but don’t think they shoot well enough to crack top 8. I think 9 or 10 would be pretty good for this season.

Nope..
Not when the Lakers continue to lose or have trouble with the worst teams in the NBA (ie: Kings, Suns, Bulls, etc.).
I know reality sucks, but "YES" the Lakers are more fun to watch than last year, "YES" they have some exciting players (Kuz), "YES" some former starters are tearing it up off the bench (Clarkson, Randle), BUT in the harsh sunlight: this team is mediocre at best and is not advanced enough to make the playoffs and NO amount of LOVE, HOPE & WISHING from the fans is going to change that.
So enjoy, but keeping your expectations low, will certainly prevent too much of a let down when they fail... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”

With Millsap's season-ending injury, it seems that Denver tumbles out of the playoff race. Who rises ? The Lakers might, but is there indication it's a move that's underway today ? Not really. _________________ “These GOAT discussions are fun distractions while sitting around waiting for the pizza to be served.”
Only 3 games separate seed 4 through seed 10.
And Lakers have a tough schedule ahead.
Of course we're excited and hopeful.
No point in being "realists" and tempering expectations.
The Nuggets looked like absolute trash when they played us but that's the only game of theirs I've seen. They are probably a better team than us overall even without Millsap. I also think the Jazz and Grizzlies are better than us assuming health.
We aren't a playoff team but I do think we can finish 10th, which would not be all that disappointing considering how bad we are at shooting. _________________ one dog goes that way the other dog goes the other way

Nuggets have had issues on the road. They have roasted opponents at home. Basically, they are an inconsistent version of the Houston Rockets but they have too many shooters and good players not to make it. Imo they get in even without Millsap.
I’m not high on the jazz but they seem to always hang around.
