Not when the Lakers continue to lose or have trouble with the worst teams in the NBA (ie: Kings, Suns, Bulls, etc.).
For some reason the kings seem to beat teams on their home court.
76ers
OKC
Blazers
But yeah, your point is true. Can’t lose/struggle to these teams. The suns could easily be 2-1 or 3-0 against the Lakers.
If we want to use the term "struggle", then the counter argument is that decent teams struggle against the Lakers. So that's a positive.
I think the Clippers, Jazz and Wizards (road) games were the only ones the Lakers weren't in it in the 4th.
No doubt. The positive so far is that the lakers are in almost every game. That’s refreshing and encouraging after past couple of years.
Refreshing indeed!
Tell him to drink the Sprite, Lebron.
I agree I think we could easily be 11-8 right now with 20% less turnovers
And I could have gone to Harvard if I was 20% smarter.
Never understood those type of statements. You are basically saying “if we were any better, then our record would be better.” Well duh. _________________ Billions Billions Billions
Speaking of the Blazers, Lakers talk host Allen Sliwa thinks that we aren’t far off from the Blazers in terms of talent, and compared both teams regarding the starting 5, at least there is more optimism then in recent years.

It's amazing how getting Carmelo and George actually made them worse. There's only one ball I guess. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

I mean, it's kinda opposite reasons why each of us are where we are.
They have three players who are better than our best player...almost by far. Yet, we are much deeper, have better chemistry, and more players who contribute with more than just scoring. Their top 3 are ball dominant, and too similar to really balance...while we have a variety of players who are good and even great in specific areas.

Oklahoma is having a very odd season. When they win, they often blow teams away by a massive differential. When they lose, they often lose by only a few points. Ultimately, I think they're going to start winning more of the close ones, and will end up with a much better record

I have felt for a decade that Russell Westbrook is a tricky personality-talent to manage. His feel for the game runs far short of his athletic ability and technical skills. In Carmelo, PG13 and Westy there are three guys whose history is as a high performance ball-dominant driver-scorer. Defining the effective ways that their new roles and floor areas and opportunities mesh for the overall good of the team feels like something Westbrook hasn't handled well. I don't knw the back story of that team, but my guess is he is getting pushed out of his hoops IQ comfort zone hard, and I think the team is suffering for it. The experiment is failing.

Adding Carmelo was the classic case of valuing names more than building a team. That said, they have enough talent to sneak into the playoffs.

I think it the problem lies with Westbrook. He’s too ball dominant and his style makes everyone around him worse. I remember last season they gave him the MVP because he had no talent around him now look at the players that left. Oladipo improves ...Sabonis improved ...Kanter improved ...etc...
OKC down 12 in the 4th against the Magic, if there is 1 bright spot in all of this Lakers chaos season is that if PG still has his sights on the Lakers then it looks like we might be able to get him unless he prefers another team like the Sixers or Clippers.
