ESPN.com is doing this thing where it compares current NBA players to the solar system. Steve Nash as the Sun, Tim Duncan as Earth, Shaq as Jupiter, Kobe as Neptune, and so on. It even makes the metaphor of Larry Bird and Magic Johnson as the Big Bang.

Anyways, if you are an astronomy and NBA fan, this might amuse you for a little while.

and Sam Cassell ...?

Interesting, they can even make a crack at K8----

NEPTUNE- K8

Several years ago scientist discovered a gigantic oval black cloud on Neptune, but more recent observations indicate the dark cloud has now disappeared. Neptune has no solid surface and is constantly whipped by supersonic winds. This planet is so far from the sun that one season can last 40 years, Neptune has a substantial set of ringsā€¦

Horry gets Saturn.... (Appears to be a SAS fan)
But rings are deserved...

Sounds like the person didnt like Det (Rasheed is Uranus) and Artest is Pluto...

Haha exactly.

Poor Rasheed is your anus.

Too bad it doesn't extend past our own solar system to Gilgamesh-16
so Cassell wasn't left out.

Yeah, I was reading Kobe's part about Neptune, and I can't even tell if it's a compliment or an insult. I swear I can see some sarcastic insults in there, I mean, it is ESPN after all! Hmmm...so far from the sun? Meaning what? Kobe's the opposite of Nash? I think that's a veiled hater remark. And they put Kobe one planet away from Artest...hmmm.
