Shams Bomb

Don't know what this means for our chances with LeBron, but here you go. Get in before the merge/ shift.

Good trade for the Celtics. They would have had a hard time keeping IT anyways (he is a free agent in summer 2018). This is a step up for the Celtics.

Holy crap. Boston looking legit. They were going nowhere with IT. Boston vs Cleveland just got really interesting.

Interesting trade between conference rivals; makes sense on both sides.

You do realize Kyrie has about as much defense as IT right? So if we all agree, they can both score like crazy. why will it matter? It wont. The cavs actually just got better.

The biggest issue with the cavs was a lack of depth. now Bron has an athletic young SF who can play defense and score a little bit. a legit player. IT is just a replacement for Kyrie. Gotta give Dan G some credit on this one. way to wait on the right deal. Bron is still out but hey. not bad.

I am not sure this trade makes either team that much better, but it makes a lot of sense for the cavs, especially they got that nets pick

thats a pretty decent haul for the Cavs considering the negotiating disadvantage Irving's trade demand put on them. However Cavs are now an even weaker team and may not even get to the finals this coming season. I would have tried to get a third team involved to take on IT for more picks/young talent and then if/when Lebron leaves next year try to get another pick for him in some kind of sign+trade deal.

I think Cleveland has finally accepted LBJ is leaving. This is a trade for future more than a final playoff run.

I hope IT smokes the Celtics in the playoffs.

Cavs needed that pick. I think they compete this year and when LBJ leaves they decline to re sign IT. keep Crowder and a high draft pick.

Why? They want to compete.

That's why they need to trade that Nets pick for Deng, a good locker room guy.

They are basically starting to clear the books if they don't win a championship. Move gives them a lot more flexibility. Kind of funny, Cavs were gifted Lebron and have only won one championship.

Defensively, Kyrie is horrible but IT is much worse. ESPN's Real Plus Minus puts Kyrie at a -2.3 and IT at -3.89 (http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/page/2/sort/DRPM/position/1).

The "who says we didn't tamper" Butler duo of Hayward and coach Brad Stevens.

Celtics have Kyrie, Hayward and Horford while keeping all of their top assets from the last few drafts. They made a bold move while still holding on to pieces/assets that can be used for future moves to improve the team or said pieces will transition nicely in a few years. (bleep) Ainge.

Okafor isn't as bad as the media makes him out to be...I wasn't an okafor guy during the draft but he seems to be seriously underrated now
