I would've loved to have included LO on the 2k18 all-time team... but Byron was a starter with 3 rings, and D-Fish had 5 rings, so it would've been a hard push.
Always wondered what it would've been like to see LO playing next to Shaq. LO's kind of versatility on D and his just-emerging outside game, next to the big beast in the middle? Yeesh. |

Not seeing any HOFer's there. I guess making at least one All Star team is a pretty good predictor. |
Not necessarily. Tom Chambers made 4 all-star games and is not in the hall of fame. Walter Davis made 6 all-star games and is not in the hall of fame. |

It would be good for Lamar, he may or not know it but he needs all the motivation he can get...

think about it. him and pau were HOT about that trade.
pau never felt the same afterwards. as he should've felt.
when you put that much effort into winning and being a great team. then to be traded even before you start declining is a lot to handle. Especially with LO. Thats just his personality. He really found a home here and a family, etc. I told people that traded killed him. no its not the FO's fault or anything like that. Thats what happens when people put more stock then they should in other things. when you lose that thing you lose everything. You can't do that, not even for other loved ones as crazy as that sounds. there is a reason why I say people should always remember we are all blessing for one another. But there was never a guarantee that we will be here all the time forever for each other. we are supposed to have a good time with the time we have with one another. that goes for family friends, enemies..loll. and everyone inbetween. when it comes to things like a house being flooded by this lasted storm or a house burning down in a Cali wild fire. those are things. the pictures...by now you should've had those puppies backed up in the cloud some where, this aint 1982 lol. even being on a team with friends. there are no guarantees. so dont act like there are. ride the good times wave until it goes down again. and have a ball while you're doing it. |

Not the stuff we saw on instragram and other outlets about him training just to get into shape. but lowkey training to get back in and he was ready. so he comes out in practice killing everyone. out there in the one game warmup not missing anything. luke looks at jeanie, jeanie looks at magic and pelinka and they all shrug and say...let him play once. and he balls out. |

In some ways, it's weird. Lamar was 32; he'd already been traded once, and he already left a team as a free agent. He wasn't a kid, and he'd been around the NBA long enough to know that teams cut guys all the time. I could see him being pissed, because that's a normal human reaction, but it was odd how flummoxed he became by it. |

Depression and mental illness I suspect were factors. I remember reading he was already in a bad state because of some robbery or incident that he witnessed in NY. He's a sensitive soul. |

The Lakers should totally do this. They're a class organization, and i feel like that Laker team was the family unit Lamar never had when he was a kid.
It almost reminds me of how the 49ers signed Jerry Rice just so he could retire as a 49er, since he played his last few years with, of all teams the Raiders. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

Dude, he's a favorite among Laker fans. Let the man dream. Anyway, I'm sure someone said the same thing you said at this same time last year (regarding something outside of sports) |

Sorry to veer a bit off topic, but I got a chance to meet Jerry Rice a few months back at the celebrity golf tourney in Rancho Santa Fe. He was a cool guy, the only one CARRYING his own bag and smoking a cigar most of the time while he was playing.
No slouch on the golf course either...he was extremely friendly and cool to my girlfriend and I when he could have chosen not to be and thus I am a Rice backer now 100%.
Very cool guy, Jerry Rice, Hall of Famer! _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Definitely agree. He also might have been the only other athlete to match Kobe's work ethic when it came to training and taking care of his body. I only caught his last few years with the 49ers, so I can only imagine how dominant he must have been in the 80s and early 90s. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

Total missed opportunity by 2k but alas.
That aside, I hope LO comes back in this capacity. _________________ *sighs*
