I like the idea of a PG/LBJ pairing, defense and offense. As far as WB/LBJ, they're both explosive scorers, but I wonder if WB is a bit too ball dominant on offense for us to take advantage of having LBJ beside him? And would WB spell lots of time on the bench for Lonzo Ball?

What odds do you put on LeBron being a Laker? 10%? 20%?

I honestly don't think it's an easy call. We'll get to see how effective PG13 is with Westbrook, which will be a good indicator of how effective or uneffective he would be would Lebron. I've said it many times, PG13's numbers are pretty conservative for a guy who's had his own team. Being 6'8 or 6'9 with handles, but who isn't a dominant scorer, then you would think he's a good playmaker. But he doesn't even do that. Career average of 3.2 assists, he simply does not create for others, an indictment even pointed out by his own newspaper in Indiana. Not an accurate shooter. Last year was sort of an anomaly at 46%, which was the best since his rookie year. I mean if it weren't for last year, then his rookie season was his most efficient season, and he has been regressing every year in the league.

My gut is that we may be disappointed dumping Brook for PG13. I think Brook will be Brook, getting close to 20 at close to 50% shooting, who actually might be a better compliment to LBJ. I think PG13's numbers will be even more modest next to Westbrook, and I expect him to fall back down to his career around 42/43%. By the end of next season, I don't think it will be an easy call to choose between Brook or PG13 when you think in terms of who will compliment LBJ better.

Look at pg13's playoff stats. Damn near triple double with no help from his team. Imagine getting help in the form of LBJ.

Pg13 is a multi positional defender and a 23-25ppg scorer. More versatile than Brook.

Read the article, I believe a reasonably high chance Lopez sticks with 2 max stars

I agree. I kicked around this idea earlier too.

I know we're not getting James and Westbrook, but the thought never even occurred to me - and my mind boggles at what a team would play like with both in the same lineup.

Imagine Lonzo having James and Westbrook as targets in the open floor. Wow.

Great Article, I would rate the desirability of the key players:

1. LeBron
2. Westbrook
3. George

And if you cant sign two of the top three (above) then the centers in this order;
4. Jordan
5. Cousins
6. Lopez

Ball
West
BI
LBJ
Nance

Your 2019 NBA Champions. They would be the best fast-break team since showtime.

The ultimate A+ offseason IMO would be:

Lbj
Pg13
Brook on room exception
Jules on QO

That is a beastly team in 2018.

Then you will have all the small market teams and owners writing letters to the league to stop the Collusion.

I have no idea why you would think Nance would be a Championship caliber Center, at 6' 9" averaging 7ppg, 5.9rpg and only 22mpg he would get killed by every true center in the NBA.

I like Nance, but you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear and Nance could NOT play Center for any team over .500 in the NBA, he is an off-the-bench PF at best...!

That would be ideal. What if LBJ and PG13 agree to put money on the table for Brook? How does that money work in conjunction with the room exception? One thing I don't follow closely are the rules of the cap. I take it the room exception is the room exception, and you cannot make more than that. If you make more than that, then it's no longer the room exception?
