Zo has a target on his back but opponents are playing into his hands since he's pass first. Zo would rather beverly stick to him so he can pass to open teammates. Berverly is too short to bother his passes. Maybe he can bother zo when he brings up the ball. But zo doesn't pound the ball that much. |

I kind of see it as a setup... Lonzo wants you to get overly aggressive with him. He doesn't go 1v1. So all these guys guarding him in iso mode as opposed to team defense would actually help Lonzo. _________________ "He may say it's not you, it's him.... but it's really you." |

Right. I'm not sure what you can do defensively as an individual to "shut down" a player who thrives on passing and setting up his teammates. I mean, what are you gonna do, Pat? Block Lonzo's passes?
I suspect that he'll try to get physical with Lonzo and get up in his space to make him uncomfortable, but that's only gonna go so far. Lonzo doesn't appear to be the kind of player who gets rattled easily. Beverly's aggressiveness will probably backfire against him anyway and put him in foul trouble. Even if he gives Lonzo some trouble while he's bringing the ball up, Luke could just put Ingram on the ball instead and let him initiate the offense. Run Lonzo off of screens before he gets the ball.
And I hope they lay Beverly out with a hard screen on the first play of the game. Give Randle the task. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. Beverly will definitely be super annoying and try to start something. That's what he does. |

Bev is definitely going to give Lonzo fits. He has that defender reputation that lets him get away with a ton of contact. Won't be surprised if Zo has a crap ton of turnovers on his debut. |

Yeah, Bev will be all over Zo. Luckily Zo doesn't hold the ball for more then a few seconds at a time, so he'll be aight... |

I love that. If Kuzma doesn't start, then I wouldn't mind having Josh Hart there to replace KCP for 2 games.
I just hope Clarkson doesn't start. I don't like him being paired with Lonzo and we need his scoring off the bench. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

Well, I don't know about MORE harm than good. Lots of good. Some harm for sure. I think Lavar also said Lonzo would win NCAA tourney.
Asking Lavar about his son(s), is like asking a Mom if her child is good looking or smart. |

Is there something about Lonzo your skeptical, and something about LaVar you dislike? The tone of your posts made me ask. |

This is the first time I've ever seen anyone bring up Lavar Ball to help their argument. |
