This deserves its own thread....
| good thread. on one hand like some other redditers stated. this could be because the lakers in years past have not had that many so called 'YOUNG TEAMS". aside from the Nick the quick team. what other team since the 80's. was really young?
most of the time it was mixed with vets. and even the so called rookies were still fully grown men since they did 2 or more years in college most times.
now as for the era once all the old heads were gone with kobe being the last one standing. I can see what bill is saying. I think we have a group of hungry guys.
kuzma could take randles spot.
randle is a grown man that has a lot of talent to be squeezed out and he wants to be better than he currently is. if randle was lets say tarik black.. he would just fine with being who he is today. a borderline double double machine with some passing ability. randle wants more. so he has to compete more often then not.
kuzma is a hardworker by nature and once he got a taste of that spl, he found something in himself he even admitted he didnt know was there. he admitted he didnt know he could be that aggressive as a scorer. He's already a solid man defender. watch out julius the rook is coming.
You saw thomas bryant, that competitive spirit just in his nature.
Zubac is looking over his shoulder at thomas bryant and now afraid he might not get floor time since he can't say he's better than lopez like he could say he might be better than a half hurt mozzy.
clarkson is the one catching the raw deal.
he got his chances as the starting SG and PG taken by our new SG and our new PG(who is a rookie).
Hart looks solid and he came out of college as a full grown man. he already plays defense. so clarkson better watch his back. that 6th man aint no guarantee either. lastly, he's always in trade talks. clarkson doesnt want to play for anyone else to be honest with you. sure he would. but he doesnt want to.
Zo ball..well yall already know. his entire family down to his uncles were all about basketball their entire lives. him and his brothers have been about basketball their entire lives. they love the sport. the love to compete. all they know is hoop. he still has to prove some haters wrong and if nothing else his dad's mouth is in the back of his head. Thats what most of the lavar haters dont understand. THe ball bros play for their own pride but they also play to be as good as their father advertises them to be. They want him to be right. Its a constant motivator. The dad did his part in regards to Zo. he got all the eyes on Zo and the BBB brand. Now its Zo's turn to get those W's. |

Clarkson isn't getting a raw deal at all. He's had plenty of opportunity since day one with this team. His level of play determined that the FO had to go out and bring in better guards. He's very likely to be shipped out to free up cap space before next summer even though KCP will almost certainly be nothing but a 1-year-rental. |

He makes sense to me about an upcoming Kuzma-Randle competition. Kuzma isn't vying with Ingram for a role nearly as much as he is with Julius (and Larry Nance Jr), though pop depth charts place Kuzma behind Ingram at big wing. KK moves laterally like shooting big man, not a natural wing. _________________ “These GOAT discussions are fun distractions while sitting around waiting for the pizza to be served.”
