Training camp only adds fuel to the Lonzo Ball hype train

-
Quote:
Lonzo Ball's first week of training camp started with Magic Johnson doubling down on his prized point guard and predicting Showtime Magic-and-Worthy-like fast breaks for Ball and Brandon Ingram.

And before he even gets to dribble the ball in his first official game as a professional, Ball deftly handled every question that came his way like a 10-year vet, whether it was what he eats for breakfast (waffles and sunny-side-up eggs), what shoes he will wear this season (Big Baller Brand at the start, for now) or how often he talks with his father during camp.

I live on the east coast and have no need to watch knicks/Nets.

I watch Lakers games via:

1. NBA LP
2. Sling (now I have NBA TV, ESPN, TNT)

My bill is probably 50% of what i paid for just cable.

So who do you go through to get LP? That's probably my biggest hangup on ditching cable.

EDIT: ohhhh, sling?

If you don't already have a smart TV, I recommend getting a Roku stick. But that's another 50 bucks.

You'd also need to change your IP with a VPN on your router because of stupid blackout rules if you're in LA.

I use Apple TV. I actually watch a lot of NBA LP on my iPAD too. And they're great at archiving games.

However, depends on where you live. If in LA, you have blackout rules.

I'm just trying to stay legal and since I love the NBA, I don't mind paying for the product and using my $ to support it.

GT said Hart and Lopez looked good in practice, I'm enlighten that we are trying to think about the big picture and not a pointless Preseason game, I also wanna see how Zu and Bryant do tomorrow.

Lakers Get Set for Preseason Opener

Quote:
After four days of battling against each other, the Lakers will get their first clash with guys in different uniforms on Saturday.

The team is a day away from its preseason opener against Minnesota in Anaheim, and head coach Luke Walton expects his players to be amped up for the occasion.

“It’s nice, when you go at each other every single day, to finally go at someone else,” Walton said on Friday. “I’m excited for (the players).”

Injury Report
Brook Lopez (back spasms) and Josh Hart (hamstring) were both able to play full-contact five-on-five at Friday’s practice. However, neither will play in Anaheim on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Andrew Bogut still cannot practice due to issues with his visa, but the team expects him to be available soon.

Vander Blue Aims to Convert South Bay Success Into Roster Spot

Quote:
The night before Lakers training camp began, Vander Blue and Brandon Ingram met up to watch some film.

They weren’t checking out tape of opponents, but instead studying the other 18 players that would be joining them at camp.

Blue — a three-year veteran of the South Bay Lakers and reigning NBA G League MVP — essentially scouted out his teammates, looking to gain every edge that might land him on the Lakers’ regular-season roster.

Operating with a “first in, last out” mentality, Blue has been arriving at the UCLA Health Training Center at 8 a.m. — three hours before practice is scheduled to begin.

Please let Randle beast out this season. I don't care if it ruins our plans for 2018. Things are looking very uncertain right now anyways. And too many talented forwards with upside is a great problem to have. Randle has the mentality of a great player, but his game has to catch up. I know many of us (myself included) has him as gone as Clarkson, but maybe just maybe he'll improve enough for us to keep him long term. Heck, maybe we can run a unit of Randle, Nance, Kuz, Ingram, & Ball for a few minutes. How fun would that team look? Cue negative response in 3, 2, 1.... 😂😂😂

Why are these guys at casino night instead of getting a good night's sleep? Did they not watch episode 4 of Ball in the Family and what happen to Melo? LOL.
