That is the way it is done folks! No heavy hybrid drivetrain, no batteries, just good old hot rodding techniques: lots of horsepower, grippy tires and a light curbweight.

I love it!

I wonder if someone is going to put the new Ford GT on the 'Ring. If it has the right tires it might be close.

If they do it won't be by Ford. They do develop/test their cars on the ring, but they don't ever submit 'official' ring times because there's no regulation for it. Too easy for manufacturers to cheat basically.

Super impressive, but I'm smitten on the GT3 w/Touring pkg.

It's getting ridiculous now; the car industry's way of phallus outlining.

Yeah, that is the sweet spot in the 911 lineup.

I still am not a 911 fan because I think that the rear engine set up is compromised towards unintentional oversteer, but dang those Germans are nothing if not tenacious with trying fix an inherently flawed design!

I would still love the Cayman to get the legit GT3 treatment with the 500 HP 4 liter NA motor. That would be a beast!

Mid engine or rear engine, rear drive, I love the driving challenge.

Nein! Nein!
Wird nie passieren!

The closest thing would be the GT4 and that has the Carrera S powertrain; can't possibly topple the clubsport 911 range. That would be sacrilege.

All you gotta do is change the gear ratios on the GT4... don't even have to change the engine...
