Jesus Campos, wherever you are, may you never be unemployed and never have to pay for another beer for the rest of your life.

Wow!!

Hero...

Interesting - there is a recent change in the timeline that stated that he shot Campos 6 minutes before he started firing at people outside. Not that he's any less of a hero, but you would expect the police to have been there sooner. They also said that Paddock stopped the shooting on his own accord for an hour, and that he could have kept shooting with all of his ammunition, but chose not to.

I consider myself fairly educated in the document, have invested time in my formal education and even side classes on the subject.....and although I am familiar with the topics within the Federalist Papers and can quickly locate the information when needed because of that general knowledge.....I admit that my knowledge is not so in-depth to quickly call out which article the information is discussed without looking it up.....or even if it was Hamilton, Madison or Jay...

just curious if your knowledge is mostly career/education based or personal study on the subject....

I'm a software developer by trade and I've worked in and around newspaper newsrooms my entire career. So I do a lot of reading, and I know how to find things on the internet really quickly.

I've always had an interest in history, particularly early US history, so while I have some knowledge, I know how to look things up when I need to.

There's actually some weird talk on my twitter timeline about Jesus Campos tonight? I'm a bit behind on the details of the investigation, catching up, but is this legit?

I'm not into conspiracy BS, I'm just actually asking if this is legit or not? Or significant?

This is really bizarre case, isn't it? So much information is missing, and so much of what we do know seems dubious. It definitely feels like the FBI is hiding something about this case. My guess is, this wasn't a lone-wolf attack, and that the plot involves many people.

Eh. Occam's Razor says that this was just a nutcase who slipped under the radar because he had none of the characteristics of someone who would be suspicious. He was an old, retired white guy who lived in a retirement community and liked to play blackjack. He bought a bunch of guns, but some people just do that.

A friend of mine (a retired geologist) runs a small gun business. He recently got asked to help liquidate the estate of some guy from Las Vegas who owned over 100 guns. The guy was just a hoarder. Apparently he couldn't walk past a gun store without buying another. Some people buy Hot Wheels, some people fill their closets with clothes they never wear, and some people like to buy guns.

So there is an ongoing search for meaning in the Las Vegas shooting. The guy didn't leave a note or a video. He didn't tell anyone what he was planning to do. He just did it. There is really no way to stop someone like that, and that is frightening.

And that is the meaning. That all meaning is contextual, and when the context shifts, the world changes completely.

There was a possible note under a roll of tape on a table. Has any more been revealed concerning it?

I think you’re talking about the calculation for the shooting angle.

If by calculation you mean the numbers in the note, yes. Thanks.

How can they be sharing information that keeps changing? Are they not verifying it and confirming it before it's given out. I really don't understand how this could happen. The sheriff today gave a different timeline and said that it might change as well.

This is what happens in today's super fast media age. You have people that want to know everything thats going on RIGHT NOW. So, when you have a situation where people are trying to give you details that are coming in...RIGHT NOW. Things can change and completely invalidate what they first said or switch the timeline around and change your prospective. That's the gift and the curse of knowing everything as it comes in vs waiting for them to figure it all out then summarize their findings.

It's like you're listening to a sports game that is going back and forth between two good teams. They're up..they're down. they're tied. one team goes on a run. you assume that teams is going to win. then the other team goes on a run. you assume they are going to win. then its tied again. vs looking at the box score and listening to post game commentary after the game is over. You know who has won and how they won the game.

This is a video that gives as complete a picture as possible. Doesn’t include the wild theories that have been going around.

Video Shows Las Vegas Gunman Gambling, Eating Alone and Filling His Suite With Guns

Using exclusive surveillance footage obtained from MGM Resorts, we pieced together the last days of Stephen Paddock, the Las Vegas gunman. He plays video poker, laughs with hotel staff and hauls bag after bag of weapons into his suite.

yeah, they did a heck of a job piecing that together. but man o man. I wasnt there but for a moment i felt like i was there feeling that feeling of "when will it be over" and it wasnt even that long. a nightmare for a few minutes seemingly like forever. That day those concert goerers felt how it feels to be a soldier at war. terrible thing to have to cope with even if you were a trained soldier but especially if you're just a civilian.

And didnt he get those guns and the stocks legally? and we had to have kids get shot up in order for kids to march to maybe get sessions to propose a band on bump stocks. not AR15, not any other guns but bump stocks. sad sad sad

Remington, one of America's oldest gun makers, files for bankruptcy

Wonder how much this will cost taxpayers?

Should make the NRA bail them out with their Russian funding

So, apparently, they released one of the cops' body cam footage (as he entered Paddock's room). I didn't watch it, and don't think I will...Supposed to be pretty graphic (obviously).

If only the people in the neighboring rooms had more guns then he did everyone would be safe

How has there not been a credible conspiracy yet

Was he so upset that gambling consumed his life that he wanted to take it out on the city that represented gambling?

Why on Earth would think there needs to be a conspiracy?

I probably shouldnt have thrown it out there so casually.. just more insanity than I know how to comprehend one man desiring to do..

I apologize for that I think I meant to ask why no manifesto or message to the world about why he chose to do this? I cannot comprehend being so upset like that and not wanting people to know what you were upset about
