And who doesn't want Cousins? Head case, sure, but monster player when motivated to dominate.
44, 24 and 10?
Versus Lopez = 4, 2 and 0 |

AD and Cousins have what it takes to make the pairing work... but there overall depth is gonna be there bad doing this year... I would be surprised if they don’t lose in the 1st round. |

Don't forget his 13 -14 free throws (we could definitely use that). |

it has nothing to do with comparing him against Lopez....AD had a big game also, and they still needed 2 OT's to beat an 18-29 Chicago team @ home. I began watching late in the 4th....and from that point, you see all the good and all the bad about Cousins....but I will be fair in pointing out that he played stupid minutes which I am sure contributed to his lack of defensive energy.
The point is where do you end up building a team around Cousins.....not how he compares to Lopez. There still has to be an explanation to why a team with two current NBA All Star starters....3 guys 27 or under that have been NBA All Stars....2 of them multi time ALL NBA Selections....yet they @ their best are a few games over .500. Nobody in their right mind would question Cousins level of talent....but everyone in their right mind that has paid attention since college should question why every team he has ever been on consistently underachieves. |

^^^they would want Ingram and Ball as the base of any package...as in the Lakers would still have to give more than those 2. |

Here is my devil's advocate post in favor of Cousins, and it's worth noting that the Bulls are 15-9 in their past 24 games...
The Sacramento Kings were/are an organizational dumpster fire. The environment there was toxic, and sure, perhaps he had something to do with that. Nonetheless, just a toxic situation. They brought in Malone as coach, and Cousins finally seemed to click with one of his coaches and really did seem engaged. The team looked improved. So of course, then they fire Malone. Cousins mentally checks out of Sacto at that point, basically, even though the super max was potentially on the table. Not wanting to pay him that, the Kings trade him to the Pelicans. Last year was not enough time to get him fully into the system, and they didn't make a playoff run. This year, he has a full training camp with the team, and they are improved from last season and in playoff position, in 6th in the West, and, in fact, only 3 out of 3rd place in the loss column. Yes, he and Davis are all-NBA talents, but the reason the record isn't even better is because having two great bigs doesn't work as well as having one great big and one great wing, or even two great perimeter players, probably. Perhaps there is a case to be made that if he were on a deep team with strong players at every position, he would be best utilized.
Again, devil's advocate. |

Just listened to hoop collective podcast.
With Ramona and Michael wright who wrote the espn article about kawhi.
They both say he's not available. Just misunderstanding and agreement on how to handle his rehab. |

BREAKING: Hornets Owner Michael Jordan says he’s not looking to trade PG Kemba Walker, and would only do so if they received an All-Star in return, such as Spurs F Kawhi Leonard. (via @rick_bonnell)
