JC for Frye (expiring) and Osman works.
Osman on the books for $2.7 next year and $2.9 the following year.
Would be a good backup for BI and he's got some upside. Shoots 36% from 3 on low volume (doesn't get a lot of minutes). 57.5 TS% |
I said Frye/Osman/Cavs 1st for JC. Too much? |
sounds good |

Randle gives them a small ball C that can help them match up better with GS and KCP would improve their awful defense.
Love would help our shooting and having him going into the summer could make us more attractive to PG13. |
KCP and Lopez for Love Shumpert and Frye works lol.
Frye is expiring and Shumpert has a player option for next year |

Probably fair market value but Osman and the pick would eat at cap room while not giving you anything in return that makes the team more attractive for free agents. Not sure it serves the big picture enough.
Far more ambitious, but what if we offered to take Shump and Frye in exchange for Deng and a protected 1st? Solves Sacramento's roster glut issue and gets them another pick in the exchange. Instead of a 1st maybe we could offer a swap of JC for Vince or Temple (as the sweatener to the Deng/Shump/Frye pieces).
Option #3, Hill to CLE, Jordan and Shump to SAC, Frye and CLE-1st to LAL. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Glass Love, I'd pass. Plus he's a one way player, nobody is going
to confuse him with a banger on the boards, given he may have
a night or two but that's it. Pass _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

Wondering if the Kemba flirtation (now apparently being somewhat shutdown by Jordan l'est they return an All-Star) might wet teams' appetite for Jordan. it's a bit of a poor man's version situation but JC also on a value contract. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Love would be an interesting 2020 placeholder deal. Good enough to contribute to a team looking to make the playoffs for 2018/19. Helps if we only can get 1 max (i.e. PG13). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Pelinka talked about trading for guys at the TD that will Improve the teams championship outlook... does Love fit into that equation?

And he still has and would have trade value at his contract price, unlike Deng and Moz who need picks or assets attached. _________________ Previously LBJ23 |

I don't think the Kemba trade rumors will affect what happens with Jordan at all.
It seems like Clarkson trade rumors have been bandied about forever, but it's hard to gauge how much interest there is in him. He started the season hot, but he's really cooled down and I'm not sure if his contract is regarded as a value. $12 million for a scorer who doesn't shoot or defend well doesn't seem like a huge bargain to me. I have no idea what kind of offers he'd bring. |

If either Frye or Shumpert are coming to the Lakers then we need to stop the Kings trade... unless we are getting other players like IT or Love. |

He’s still a very good player. He’s been unreasonably labled the scapegoat there when they have way bigger problems than him. He put up 26/13 one year. I don’t care how bad your team is, that means you’re talented.
Lopez/Clarkson for Love is a very interesting idea. |

I don't like him... But he'd also be another great outlet passer and someone who can hit a damn three. Also: someone to shoot (and actually make) our techs!
Defensively though

WTF?
Love rebounds more per 36 than Julius
He can shoot 40% from 3
He's shooting close to 90% from FT line this year
He's a good stopgap if Cousins is a no go. If we can get Cousins I'd rather have him, but if he's not coming, we get a big who can truly spread the floor and get rebounds.
I don't get everyone complaining about players who are superior to what we have... Not everyone has to be AD or the Greek Freak to contribute. |

Problem is Magic wants LBJ, and trading for Love isn't going to mesh well with LBJ. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
