Boston media is comparing Kyrie, Horford and Hayward to Pierce, Garnett and Allen.

My crazy prediction of the future: LeBron going to the Lakers leads to the playoff conferences ending due to the biggest stars in the league and best 2 teams being the Warriors & Lakers. Best 16 teams in the playoffs makes the most sense and much more intriguing than the current playoff format.

Ya if Bron goes West.. it's in the NBAs best monetary interest to eliminate the conferences. East will have no competition for GSW, Finals will have no juice

Boston...

They're a legacy team.. but they're not competition..Not close. Hawyward is a borderline allstar in the West

Man that makes no sense.

They might be the best team in the league in 3 years. But as long as Hayward by far their 2nd best player, they have zero chance against the Warriors. And I like Hawyards game, he's just not swinging anything for them against GSW, neither are their young wings right now. lol not close

If Tatum gets to Durant's level, (which I don't seeing happening at all) this Celtics team still not going to be able to compete with this Warriors team. Unless they trade for Anthony Davis or somehow able to trade for Kawhi Leonard who isn't going to re-up with the Spurs, Celtics need at least 4 All-Star players to match-up with the Warriors. Kyrie, Hayward, & Horford are a really good core, but not even close enough to match up shooting and scoring wise with the Warriors. Celtics have Kyrie who can match Curry, but now need another player the caliber of Durant to really beat the Warriors.

Would it make that much of a difference though? If East is so weak, won't those teams have an easier schedule to get more wins compared to the West anyway? I don't think they will change the schedule due to long trips.

They have 2 with the chance of either Tatum or Brown becoming the third. No one's competing with the Warriors in the next couple years, but Boston will likely be the second best team in the league as early as next season.

They would have to change the schedule if they eliminated conferences. Wouldn't make sense otherwise.

Also, why it makes sense for LeBron & PG for this Lakers team imo, along with Ingram, Ball, Kuzma. Ingram looks like he will be on the verge of breaking out soon, making things easier for LeBron at this stage of his career as a playmaker/scorer, along with his natural improvements. Kuzma is a sniper and fits perfectly as a spot up shooter. Ball is the X-factor to everything, he would be able to spot up, which he was better at just recently before he got hurt, along with his passing and defense. Going to need Ball to match-up with Curry is going to be the biggest difference, mostly on defense and his passing to match Curry's shooting in the future. Also, Lakers have young depth with Kuzma as the 6th man, Hart, Zubac/Thomas Bryant, and can always get ring chasing vet's to beat the Warriors. That team wouldn't beat the Warriors in the 2018-2019 season, but the season after they can that depending on what happens in their offseason and the wear and tear of going to 5 finals gotta take a toll on them eventually.

Well see how far OKC goes in the playoffs. Most guys want to win plus the chaos of free agency and pitches will probably throw a monkey wrench in OKC's plans to resign him.

That's mostly due to BI's charisma and energetic personality.

I disagree. Not everyone can mesh that many stars together and win. Houston is doing just fine with two stars

Should also note that at one time OKC had KD/Harden/WB on the same team but decided to break it all up piece by piece.

It is also the largest US city by area. Or used to be. I have driven through there many times.

“Sensitivity?”

Why? Because it’s the lakers?

“Small market” hypocrites. They can all go whine some more.

According to Wikipedia, it is the second-largest city by area in the nation, behind only Houston.

I've never seen his Gatorade commercial so you're wrong. Kyle and Brandon are on national televised commercials not ones in small markets. I live in NY and PG has never had this much press until being connected to the Lakers but you can continue to push your trash on this forum.
