no...he is a bad dude, that has been allergic to winning his whole career....but mostly because I simply think he has poor character. The fact that he has spent most of his career pudgy, out of shape, and is one of the more lazy talents in the league doesn't bode well for the back end of his prime years also factors in to the equation. |

God they suck and it's beautiful.
On that Boogie play --- coaches really have to stop teaching bigmen to put their elbows out and kinda swing after they grab a rebound in a crowd - it's getting called as a tech on all levels of the game.. college and NBA guys get thrown out for it instantly, but for some reason it's still being taught on the lower levels |

OKC lost again. That team is terrible no better than us right now. Same amount of wins. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

As the season progresses I can envision Melo getting lazier and lazier as a PF |

The Thunder would've been better off not trading for Melo. |

The question is which LA team because those sneaky Clips might try and steal him from us that's if they clear enough cap. So the Lakers better get to him first. |

The Clippers are doing even worse than we are. Having a good team for them was because the league gifted them CP3 and their good run was but a blip on the radar of LA sports.
I can hope, anyway. |

saw this earlier from Ohm....question is would we simply waive a player? if so, who? or do we seek a trade first to open up roster space? |

Yikes.
Hmm. I just saw the replay. It looked like a flop.
But hey, that's the NBA today. |

Thought this when it happened. Felt like something the Billy King Nets would have done. A name acquisition that doesn't improve the team. |

Not in terms of style of play, but in terms of struggle, don't these Thunders remind you of our own wannabe dream team in Kobe/Nash/Howard/Pau? You expected them to be 55+ win team, yet they could never get it going. They were below .500 for the longest time and were 31-31 in March. Finished strong at 45-37, Kobe injury, etc. Anyway, I think we can expect these Thunders to linger around .500 for awhile. |

Ya'll talking about the "elbow" that Boogie hit Westbrook with?
You mean the elbow that touched Westbrook's shoulder and sent Westbrook falling to the ground holding his face in a worse acting performance than a soccer player?
That was a flop on epic proportions. Actually embarrassed for the ref that fell for it.. on second thought, no I'm not.

The Thunder are going to need shooting at the 2, Roberson will forever be the weak link of that team, and they got Terrance Ferguson on the bench.
Anyway the biggest problem with the Thunder is that they got three stars on the team, and not one leader between them. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

The sneaky Clips have $113 mill in active contracts this summer. Unless PG wants to play for the $8 mill exception he is not signing with them. |

If OKC doesn't show a huge improvement, PG is as good as gone.
Melo is unmovable. Nobody will pay anything near his $28M option for next season and OKC doesn't have the assets to move him: no young player better than Abrines or Ferguson and they can't trade 1st picks until 2022 (2018 going to Minny, lottery protected, and 2020 to Orlando).
Not too many teams with cap space and a big expiring contract to give OKC in return. Even if they found a franchise willing to take Melo, he still has a non-trade clause.
They won't dive in luxury tax for a team that can't compete and Westbrook prime years are wasted. _________________ .... |

Now news.
This off-season free agents at the center position will be both Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel, likely far beneath the value they expected.
Aside from Lopez those are the two other names really of significance.
At guard
Avery Bradley
JJ Redick
Lou Williams
Will Barton
Mario Hezonja
Tyreke Evans
If I'm the Lakers and Lopez doesn't want to return, I'm looking at Noel or yes.. even Okafor in free agency.
At the guard position to replace KCP if he doesn't want to come back I'm replacing him with Ingram.. But in terms of other guards, as a project that got misutilized in Orlando, I'd go with Mario Hezonja and give him a look. I'd also get Tyreke Evans and make him the 6th man point guard. Will Barton and Lou Williams are also good choices. Will Barton's shooting for sure but the Nuggets may want to keep him now.
Anyway if Lopez and KCP bounce and we get no max's I'd look at doing this moving forward.
Starters:
Lonzo Ball
Brandon Ingram
Kyle Kuzma
Julius Randle
Nerlens Noel
Bench:
Tyreke Evans
Jordan Clarkson
Will Barton
Larry Nance Jr.
Ivica Zubac / Thomas Bryant
I'd look at doing something like that probably.
if Will Barton was obsessed with being a starter, then that's fine, because we'd just try to hope Josh Hart started coming into his own.
But those are three signings I'd go for even if we had to overpay in the off-season. Nerlens Noel, Tyreke Evans, Will Barton. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:
