If Nick Young was Swaggy P, Isaiah Thomas has been playing like Scrubby T.
You aren't a scrub if you're a 27 ppg scorer coming off of a hip injury and putting up 19 ppg off the bench at 60% of what you were while within the transition period of recovery.
the entire offense just stops and its basically IT show. don't like it 1 bit
luke did the same with Lou williams last year and now repeating it with IT

That's the role of a Super 6th man. it happened with Clarkson and Kuzma too when those were their designated roles. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I'm trying not to get sarcastic, but my comment was a comedic one, an intended pun, and I even say "has been playing like." I don't think he's a scrub, in general. I would expect he'd get a little of his athleticism back next season, but I don't think it's a given, and, as he gets to 30, and with his size already what it is, it's also unlikely that he's ever the player that he was last year.
For the most part, he looks like a shell of himself from last year, and tonight he certainly looked like a scrub. OK, carry on.

IT tried passing to others like Zu or KCP and they kept missing their shots or fumbling the ball out of bounds... at a certain point you just decide you are better off shooting yourself. I truly believe he's trying to get people involved and when someone else is hot... I think the team flourishes and he's good at distributing... when everyone is cold, he tries to force the issue and it gets real ugly. He should have looked for Kuzma more... I don't know how much they played together but that's who Luke should have run the offense through tonight.
I blame him for three or four of the losses because he's the vet who wants to get paid and he should be a calming influence and he hasn't been... but he also scored over 20 in a run of games and was beneficial to the team.
If he can't shoot, he's of little value to the team... but I think he's pressing because his career is at stake. Good news is that maybe we can sign him cheaply if he keeps choking like this. I know many of you don't want him but if you look at the stats it's a good play if we don't get LBJ/PG. He's still shooting 9% better than Zo playing like crap. Imagine if he just shoots at a regular rate of efficiency.
Was but what.. 2 games go where he was getting high assist/low TO games and people were crediting his passing?
is two games all it takes really?
No I was against a long term IT signing from The start. His plans do not coincide with the Laker’s role for him. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
Um no. Lakers aren't trading Lonzo, especially after 1 year. I think they believe in him (so do I) and to trade him for a soon to be 28 year old Kemba (who I really like) who is up for an extension is not a good move. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
How the NBA handles its phone addiction:
In LA, Lakers get fined if their phones ping during meetings.
In Washington, players can use phones on their own time (even before Scott Brooks comes in for a halftime talk).
In Milwaukee, no phones before games.

Scrubby T is perfect. That’s how he’s been playing for most of this year.
Don’t let his fanboys tell you otherwise.
He’ll get a new nickname if he actually starts playing better, but I’m not holding my breath.
He’s got the same problem here is that he’s had his entire career outside of last year- he thinks he’s way better than he is. And that gap between his self-image and reality is even worse this year because of his hip surgery.
Boston was a perfect situation for him, whereas he’s a horrible fit for our “focus on defense, share the ball on offense” team culture.

12 more games.........
I don't see anyone being a fanboy except for myself and maybe MJST or Kobe Luver and I've already said I'd happily take LBJ and PG instead. I've only said I want him back if he can return to his shooting form and we don't get the two elites. I wouldn't describe myself as a fanboy unless you count I prefer someone with hope of being decent over life long journeyman garbage as being a fanboy.
I don't know if you saw my post where I noted that IT scored over 20 points 71 out 76 times last season including a 52 point game... and a 53 points performance only 10 months ago in the playoffs. Our starting lineup hasn't scored 20 points 71 times. It will take Lonzo five years at the pace he's going to achieve that milestone... and we all give him a pass (rightfully) because he plays defense well and has elite vision. Even this year playing like ass, in 16 games he's had more 20 games than half our team and would be on a pace to surpass all of them in a full season.
If you don't like him, fine... I respect that. I don't like him much either the last two or three games. But to say we are deluded fanboys is crazy when you look at all the alternatives. I see people staking our playoffs on scenarios such as Caruso blossoming... drafting Holiday and hoping he blossoms into a adequate scorer who doesn't give up 11 turnovers on the big stage... anything but letting a 29 point scorer last year try to make a comeback.
Only 9 people have averaged 29 points per game in the last 12 years and all but one are destined for the Hall of Fame. Yet I am a deluded fanboy for wanting him to be our backup?
Get me Damien, get me Kemba, get me even Seth and I'll shut up. But if see Chalmers, Jarrett Jack, Trey Burke... thrown out there as reasonable substitutes for a back up to a point guard shooting 44% TS... I'm going to continue to beat the drum for a competent substitute. We don't have the luxury of grooming Caruso during a playoff run. Get me something concrete to replace IT and I will promise to shut up.

Windhorst on 710 today.
3 min mark on PG13 among league circles...
“Nobody believes that he has decided on OKC. They believe he will be an available free agent come July 1.”
Did he also mention that water is wet? Of course he will be an available FA on July 1. The only way he wouldn’t would be if he opted in before then. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

Nice snarky comment from you...kind of ironic since you were pretty convinced that PG13 was “mad” at the Lakers and was re-upping in OKC without hesitation.
There is a long, laundry list of VLF proclamations. You are probably better off just keeping your remarks to yourself especially when you could face a lot of mocking this summer for all the proclamations you like to spit out as fact.
Just trying to help you out. There is a pack of posters on here ready to pounce if VLF strikes out on his “ironclad” predictions.
