I’m a big fan. One of the best defensive centers (players actually) in the league, hardly misses any games, improved his FT shooting dramatically last year.

Ball/Hart/PG/Randle/Drummond would probably be the best defensive lineup in the NBA.

I’d trade BI + picks for him in a heartbeat.

Randle and Drummond front court??? Both can't hit a shot outside 3ft.

Kuzma is probably the better fit there as a starter...but defensively he’s behind julius right now.

I still don't to have that guy. We can Julius + Lopez in Drummond's Salary

You can’t be serious.

Drummond is 24 and led the league in multiple defensive categories...I’d trade BI (who I really like) for him and not think twice about it. BI may continue to his develop his game to the point where he is an above average NBA player next year...Drummond is already a beast. No question I’d do that.

He lead the league in rebounding, defensive rating and DBPM. If anything he’s under rated...finishing at the rim or not, there is a lot more to basketball than scoring.

I can think of another guy who led the league in those things...think he even played for us too...

Well if it's on a website, that's pretty much official.

When it comes to Drummond's style. He's a solid defensive center, one of the best in the league. Despite his limited offensive game.

But it's not like the league doesn't have those guys on premiere teams.

Houston has Capela

Utah has Gobert

Drummond is up there with those guys in terms of his defense, top tier indeed.

I think the problem he faces in Detroit is he's asked to be the face of the franchise, when in reality he should be the secondary, to third offensive option, and the last line of defense.

Problem is, Detroit doesn't have anyone on that team better than him.

it may behoove the Clippers to see if they could trade Deandre Jordan for him.

Brian Windhorst on ESPN 710. He couldn’t hide the possibility of LeBron/Kawhi/PG all playing together with the Lakers...

If it happens it will be amazing to see the reaction of the nba media and Laker haters.

Capela and Adams shoot 10% better than him. And he doesn't take many shots at all outside of 5 feet himself. Valanchunas and Gibson shoot 5% better and take jumpers too. he legit isn't an above average contested finisher, he's not Capela or Adams

Drummond shoots 55% on rolls and Capela shoots 69%, Deandre 68% ,Gobert 66%, Adams shoots 65%. he's not in their universe as a roller..

exactly what my eye's showed me when I watched Blake feed him on high/lows, I was like wow, Blake's going to get the blame on these losses, but Drummond is a completely average finisher

The best fit would be this trade idea and a toilet.

For real man. Most Pistons fans I’ve seen on the boards would trade drummond for BI in such a (bleep) hurry. Mans out here would trade Ingram and picks for Drummond

I’m becoming more and more confident in my theory that the only reason half this sub underrates Ingram is because “muh athleticsm” “only 2 dunks the entire season”

We gonna run out of crows to feed next season when Ingram continues to develop like he has been since he entered the league.

He had 53 dunks this season compared to just 29 from Kyle Kuzma.

Come on guys, look past the names...Drummond isn't the answer.

Neither is DeAndre Jordan.

We need to be smart with the cap space. Let's not be one of the teams that signs mistake contracts anymore...we already participated in that 2 years ago.

Kuzma is a much flashier scorer, and probably has a more aesthetically pleasing game. Ingram plays at a slower pace then Ball/Kuzma/Randle right now and that’s effecting how he’s viewed in my opinion.

Ingram right now from what I see, has a more methodical approach to the game. He didn’t take threes unless he felt he could make it, he took his time with the ball a lot (got better with it toward the end tho). Ball/Kuzma/Randle all played at a faster and more exciting pace.

That certainly effects how a lot of people view him.

Yeah wtf. Dawg if that’s the only trade we make this off season and miss out on PG that would still be a successful ass season.

Jazz would never offer it but Gobert would solve any center problems for the next decade, give us a legit defensive anchor.

If somehow that trade happened and we got Paul George? Our defense with PG/Gobert and improved Lonzo/BI would fight for the best defensive team in the league.

And we get rid of Deng? Give Magic another statue as a GM next to his player one ASAP

Edit: yo wtf I wrote a whole ass essay thinking he was talking about Gobert and not Gortat. I’m a dumbass

Big no for me. Don't waste 1st round picks on something like this.

Maybe if they had PG13 and Lebron guaranteed and needed to get rid of Deng but I am not sure it works anyway. Wizards have no cap space and would be reluctant to take on Deng imo.

Washington is willing to pay even more luxury tax for the salary dump that they are taking on?

Main thing from this imo is the earlier these guys' teams get eliminated (PG13, Lebron, etc.) the more time they have to talk...

Just realized that OKC staging a comeback and winning might be the best thing for us if Lebron is interested. That would mean PG is showing out as a legit #2 option/shot creator in the clutch, which Lebron really needs (and one less defensive wing guarding him).

I think it makes it more likely those two dudes talk and decide to play together, and doesn't change the likelihood of George going elsewhere if he's set on leaving. I don't see PG passing up playing with Lebron in LA with awesome young, cheap talent to play with tiny inefficient Lebron in OKC with Melo hogging the books.
