Because they like system players, not me first type players.
And as I've already said, they don't need a third point guard no matter how badly you want them to have one for your benefit. |
they cant play with 2 at the same time? Mills cant be a spot up shooter next to one of Murray/IT? IT and Murray cant be on the court at the same time? was Aldridge a "system player" when they got him? is he one even now?
so basically, youre just making assumptions like myself here. fact of the matter is, Spurs (probably) are losing 2 backcourt players on major minutes, and have what, 1-2 million in cap space? they made the playoffs without Kawhi, and only way they get better/make up for the loss of 2 major figures like Parker/Ginobili for this coming season is to get something useful for KL. they could also go rebuilding mode but would that be a proper way to send Pop into retirement? they are also chasing the all time most consecutive playoffs appearances record, which is why my guess would be they keep Popovich for 2 more seasons and try to build competitive teams for him, before he retires and they then go rebuilding |
You might want to try selling them on a wing player, since you’re taking a fairly vital one off their hands rather than trying to sell them on playing two undersized point guards at the same time.
I mean, unless the goal is just to get the Spurs FO to laugh uncontrollably, then go ahead and make the argument they should want IT for Kawhi. |
they made the playoffs with said wing out for the season. but this time around, they lose 2 important backcourt players. think of it what you will.
and your assumption is they laugh at us if we offer that, cool, but dont talk as if you know what they want please. because you dont |
Well, let’s just save ourselves a boatload of money and offer Deng for Kawhi. They lose a wing, and they are thin at the 4. With Parker and Manu gone, they need the veteran presence in the locker room. Deng is still younger than Lebron and in the right stiuation like San Antonio, could flourish and revitalize his career. We have saved his legs for a moment like this. They made the playoffs without Kawhi — what more if they add Deng? In a positionless basketball world, he is irreplaceable as a 3/4 and could, when called upon, guard 1-5.
They should be all over this deal. And we do it for obvious reasons.
Please don’t talk as if you know what they want please. Because you don’t. Therefore, they should want this. |

Exactly...and let's all not be idiots and believe such BS. I mean, some people believe and report everything they see and hear.
This is pure nonsense. |

Why even bother to post random tweets from unknown sources. It's that time of year I guess. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

I don't believe lunch/dinner meeting tweets unless they tweet the actual restaurant name. |

1. Trade Ball and Deng to Phoenix for #16 (Robinson) and #31 (Carter)
2. Draft Huerter with #25
3. Sign George to max
4. Sign James to max
5. Use the remaining 6,861,302 on some one like Teodosic or Lopez
6. Sign Randle to max
7. Sign ring chaser vets like Korver, Illysova, Jefferson, Carter, Johnson, Frye etc. |

Uh, yeah.. I feel like this is the most massive tampering fine on the planet waiting to happen. So big the NBA wouldn't allow us to sign LBJ. |
Yeah Jeannie isn't that dumb. Those pics would've leaked as soon as it happened. BS rumor. |
If Jeanie went and had lunch with LeBron in New York, and THEN made that tweet FROM NEW YORK about "Never Underestimating.."
Yeah that could be bad if true or proven. Magic was already on his 3rd strike...
Grain of salt though unless someone took pics or something. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I think a Capella/Cousins swap could have some interest between both teams. _________________ Author of James Harden and the Strip Club

Yea how could anyone believe that? There is not one owner/executive in the NBA that would be stupid enough to have lunch in public with a NBA player not on their roster. Let alone someone as high profile as Lebron who will be a free agent in 2 weeks. No not even Magic is that stupid. Not sure how anyone could buy that even for a second. |

Two months ago i felt Pg was a lock and LBJ was a long shot and kawaii was never ever happening unless it was in 19..
Today i think Lbj is to the lakers is the worst kept secret in sports
Still think Pg is coming and all the Okc positive vibes are Pg playing nice
As far as KL goes I just dont see it and dont want it at least now.. dude is either injured or quit on his team. Whether it is one or the other neither are good and before i give up the likes of draft picks and 2 budding young stars I would need to see him a full year or at least 1/2 year on the court _________________ “What is 17,505”

I got Cousins being signed and traded to Washington for Otto Porter and Marcin Gortat. _________________ A creative scorer, a wing defender, and a shooter. |
