BREAKING NEWS. Lakers get philly’s 39th pick for the 2019 Chicago 2nd rounder. Nice.

Sweet. Trade bait? Or are 2nd round picks holds less than an open roster spot?

IMO we may be trading our 25th pick tomorrow. And getting things into motion.

The Lakers have acquired the 39th pick in Thursday’s Draft from the 76ers, league source tells ESPN. Lakers will send Philly its 2019 second round pick via Bulls and cash.

I wonder if this is a deal to set up or make another deal...just a thought...or they just really like someone in that range of picks.

Interesting. Not sure if this has any bearing on other moves or not.

I think Magic is just trolling us. Making this move to get people riled up about what it all means. Haha

If they’re planning on a 3 star move, it gets us an additional cheap player option I guess.

Or they’d have done it regardless.

Much cheaper than a 25th pick IMO. and seems there are some interesting players at 39.

could help in a deal to dump deng's contract too. maybe off a team like atlanta 25, 39, and 2020 first round pick to take him.

It’s the 39 and 25 to leapfrog the Spurs spite pick.

just seems really random the night before the draft.

could be nothing. philly had six picks tomorrow and could have just wanted to get rid of one.

Night before draft is a bit random. GT tweeted about that too.

Maybe its just for flexibility. It checks a lot of boxes.

Cheap help for a 3 star plan. Trade asset. Replacement for #25. Etc

This tampering meeting tells me one thing: we’re about to make big moves and don’t want the league trying to screw us over again.

It’s really a damn shame. After “basketball reasons” and that fraudulent Giannis tampering - Jennie should be allowed to pull us out of the revenue sharing. Since the league wants to collide to screw us iver, let them do it without making money off our sales.

I hope it's for a Deng trade with only picks involved and not our young guys.

Here we go. Could be back filling for young players. Could increase chances of number #25 being traded.
