with what? nothing really happened.

The Deng news is a significant part of what we plan to do in FA, if the Ramona report is new then it definitely deserves recognition especially since if we do get rid of Deng then we know that PG/LeBron signing is a done deal.

i think it was widely known the wanted to dump deng this summer.

IMO, the difference is that it seems like the Lakers NOW are more determined to trade him, they could have said the same thing during the draft, they probably need to find a team willing to take on his deal ASAP so we can have
enough cap room to play the FA game.

So who is willing to take Dengs contract

The several teams Ramona mentioned.

She said the Lakers have contacted several teams, not that several teams were willing to take Deng's contract.

I’m pretty sure 1 of them will eventually settle for a Deng trade as long as we add picks.

I wonder if Mitch wants Deng back so he can have his Mozgov/Deng reunion 🤔😂

Okay so how did anything change though? This isn't really news, the Lakers were always wanting to get rid of Deng, nothing happened

Next week should be interesting so we’ll see.

There only about four teams that can take Deng's contract without too much disruption to their rosters.

Sacramento, Chicago, Atlanta and Dallas appear to be the main candidates for the Deng project.

If Cuban wants to try and compete next season instead of doing multiple years tanking, then that leaves Sacramento, Atlanta and Chicago.

The Lakers have made it known to several teams that future draft picks are available for any team willing to take on Luol Deng’s contract, reports @ramonashelburne.

the dallas pick is top five protected from the draft night trade. might give them an incentive to tank.

If nobody wanted our #25 pick before the draft I am skeptical we are going to move Deng.

There is a chance that the Lakers didn’t want to include there 1st round pick, maybe they think multiple future picks can get it done, Chicago might do it, a lot of there fans are ready to welcome Deng back with open arms.

I don't think we can trade Deng without adding a young player.

I never saw anything definite about a hard push to move Deng pre draft with assets such as #25.

There also has been some talk about Dallas thinking about signing Cousins and that Cuban lacks the patience for a multi year tank.

So exciting. Only a week left.
And I'd take Payton for $4M especially since he cut his hair.

Yeah, that’s why this Ramona news is a breathe of fresh air, the Lakers are ready to move Deng by the start of FA, I hope Atlanta takes him that team is gonna need some veteran presence, and Deng would be a good mentor for the young Hawks team.

Why do we need to move Deng? If we kept Deng, then we could just renounce Randle, then we'd still be able to sign Lebron and PG13, right? That means we just have to lose one of our young pieces: either Randle, Lonzo or Ingram. Can't have everything.

It looks like they want the 2 max guys and Randle so thats why they need to move Deng.

If brooklyn can move MOZ for basically two seconds. I'm pretty sure we can move DENG for TWO firsts, maybe a first and a second. The market has been set. Chicago would be perfect. He ends his career there, the fans would welcome him, and they would get two firsts. Win Win.
