It would be more accurate if you said we were compensated with Hart and Bryant. I think LA gets Kuzma either way without the trade. But Hart/Bryant wouldn't have been possible. |
What's funny is that the narrative may have shifted to the point where Hart/Bryant looks more important than Kuzma. |

I think that the gap between AD/Randle and Embiid/Lopez is bigger than the gap between Saric/PG and Lonzo/Fultz, thus making Philly the better option from a basketball standpoint. I also think that Philly could potentially create cap to have PG as well - I'm not sure exactly how, though. |
i don't think this is a good comparison. if not Lebron, we have another max if we sign Randle at the right price. |
well the comparison is how Lebron fits/looks with the rest of the respective rosters |
well if thats the case, where did Ingram and Kuzma go?
Also i doubt the Pelicans are letting go AD for Ben Simmons and who??? |
Tiny Dog and Koozy are still on the team - I don't think either could be on the floor in a direct comparison like that but you do have a point.
Lonzo
PG
Lebron
Tiny Dog
Randle
would probably be our best lineup overall. so that lineup vs
Fultz
Saric
Lebron
AD
Embiid
is a different yet probably more valid comparison. I still think that that Sixers lineup is better.
Simmons, a 1st rounder and filler for AD I think is a pretty reasonable deal. _________________ one dog goes that way the other dog goes the other way |

So is it right to assume we have a good 6-7 year run at titles if we land PG and LeBron? depending on how our young players progress we could have a good long decade of dominance.

That Sixers lineup is so dangerous I almost feel like we shouldn't even post it in case someone in their management happens to see it.
Good thing LeBron is old or it would be lights out for ten years. |

I mean even if we assume Fultz never becomes a solid player you could still probably put like literally just about any point guard out there and they'd be fine.
That team has plenty of spacing - every player on the court can shoot the ball from outside except for Fultz (and he used to be able to).
Their bench would rely on vet minimum talent to a large extent - that is true. But I bet guys like Korver would be willing to sign for cheap. I'm not really familiar enough with their current roster but I know that McConnell is not all that terrible and I believe Holmes as well is also not terrible. _________________ one dog goes that way the other dog goes the other way |

Can we just keep our core and just add those two players. Jules would learn so much playing next to Lebron. He could even become Diet Lebron someday. Kuz would look great coming off the bench next to Lebron and George. Ingram might be the odd man out because Lebron would want a big three, but give him time and Ingram will be a big three himself someday. |

Reddick is an UFA. Unless he takes the room exception, Phili doesn't have room for both him and LeBron. |

I was of this opinion for a while. But if they use that cap space to get some good values at bargain (i.e. moveable) deals (Barton and Hezonja) and/or rent out their cap space for assets, it greatly mitigates the "failure." They can make a run again at 2019 guys like Klay and Kawhi (or PG again if he 1+1s with OKC), while shrewdly growing our young guys for another year, like we always hoped they would.
In a weird way, i'd be massively in favor of the F.O. just flat out lying to us about future FAs and leveraging our faith/optimism in the new regime with just growing our young guys and adding good pieces like we always wished we could, but seemingly couldn't under the win-now expectations of Jeanie. |

The irony of the whole "Russell got us Kuzma" argument is that, in the end, Hart could actually end up as the better long term player for us. If so, people will be celebrating how trading Russell got us Hart (making no mention of Bryant). _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

Ironically, I was literally just about to say this. Hart was so solid this year that I would actually say I prefer him to Russell at this point, and I was an unashamed Russell guy when he was here. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. Lol, my point was that Hart could be better than Kuzma... and that's the player people in the future might want to be celebrating. However, could Hart be better than Russell too? Maybe. Right now I'm not ready to say that. Give Russell health and another year (since Hart is a year older than him). _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service
