I hope Houston gives him the max

5.8 Brandon Ingram
1.7 Kyle Kuzma
1.7 Josh Hart
1.4 Thomas Bryant
10 Isaiah Thomas

TOTAL = 99.9m

TRADES:
* Deng, Zubac, 2019 1st, 2021 1st to Atlanta

4M ROOM EXCEPTION =
Marco Bellinelli (1 year x 4m)

VET MINIMUMS =
* Channing Frye
* Richard Jefferson
* Matt Thomas

DRAFT:
RD1 - Mitchelle Robinson
RD2 - Kevin Hervey

TWO WAY CONTRACTS:
* Shamorie Ponds
* Alex Caruso

UNDRAFTED FREE AGENTS (G-League):
* LiAngelo Ball
* Shareef O’Neal
* Thomas Welsh
* Andre Ingram
* Travis Wear

LAKERS DEPTH CHART:
PG: Ball / I.Thomas / Caruso / Ponds
SG: George / Hart / M.Thomas
SF: Ingram / Bellinelli / Jefferson / Hervey
PF: Randle / Kuzma
C: Cousins / Robinson / Frye / Bryant

SOUTH BAY G-LEAGUE ROSTER:
PG: Caruso / Ponds
SG: Ingram / Ball
SF: Hervey /
PF: Wear / O’Neal
C: Bryant / Welsh

SUMMER LEAGUE ROSTER:
PG: Caruso / Ponds
SG: Hart / G.Ball
SF: M.Thomas / Hervey
PF: Wear / O’Neal
C: Robinson / Bryant / Welsh

** Shareef O'Neal likely skipping UCLA cos his grades wont cut it so he will likely go to G-League. Would be cool if he stayed in LA.

** If any of our G-League or UDFA guys look good, we could cut Jefferson and he could join Luke's staff. I like the idea of having some old school vets on the roster to help guide the young guys though (Frye and Jefferson would serve that role nice).

So with Cousins not expecting to be back until after Christmas, do you want Mitchell Robinson starting at center or Channing Frye?

I kind of like my plan better:

1. Trade Deng + Zubac + 2018 1st + 2019 1st for Taj Gibson (expiring k) and Cole Aldrich (expiring k), waive Aldrich.
2. Sign PG.
3. S&T Julius + Ingram + 2019 2nd for Kawhi.
4. Sign LeBron.
5. Pick up Tyler Ennis' option.
6. Pick up Thomas Bryant's option.
7. Re-sign Channing Frye for the Vet. Min.
8. Re-sign Lopez with our remaining cap room.
9. Sign Seth Curry with the Room Exception.
10. Offer two-way contract to Travis Wear.

Ball/Curry/Ennis
Kawhi/Hart
George/Kuzma/#47
LeBron/Gibson/Wear (two-way)
Lopez/Frye/Bryant

Can the Lakers sign Leonard, George, James, and take on Gibson’s contract?

If so, you’re plan is very fair and rational, but me thinks that just isn’t possible.

Im OK with all of what you have said except the DMC thing. Why will i offer an Injured player MAX salary when all NBA teams doesn't intend to do so?

Im OK with him but for a salary starting @ $10M or a little more.

I would rather PUT my money to a Monster Old Man they say but still Top 2 Player in the league in Lebron James.

Lebron max $35M is attainable.

it's attainable but without Randle (unless a trade of Deng occurs) and not Isiah. Hell, giving Boogie and PG $30/Year means not Isiah. So his/her post is totally pie in the sky not attainable.

I know this sounds crazy but IF GS and Bron lose, some guy had a crazy theory that bron and KD would join LA. He pointed out that Cari champion is the force behind the recruiting (huge lakers fan and has in with magic) and those Uber commercials and them playing on same all star team made them realize they should play together. Again ITS CRAZY I KNOW but food for thought

Still hate the idea of taking a chance on Cousins after his injury.

No way he takes a $10 mil a year deal, he will expect $20+ per.

Rather the Lakers focus on signing healthy players.

Pass on Cousins. I wish him well...I just don't want him to be a Laker.

I don't believe any of the free agent rumors. I'll believe it when they sign a contract with us.

I personally agree with Bill. He has gone off on the coach and trainer. When are we you gonna send a message that BS is not tolerated? Now were giving more of his sons try outs.

Would they really trade Ball if he doesn't meet expectations/specifications?

If Sherpa guides were needed to get the FO to Chino Hills and UCLA, then there would be an excuse for them not knowing what they were getting with Lonzo and his father.

Things would have to be quite bad for the Lakers to trade Lonzo because of the hit on his (Magic's) image that would accompany it.

Build a winning team; with or without Lonzo.

One of the few misses by the Celtics FO. I'm really glad now that we have got the consolation prize of Randle when most of us including myself wanted smart in 2014.

I was hoping for Smart or Exum at that spot and after we didn’t get them I wanted us to trade Down to 10 and get Lavine...shows you what I know lol.

I know every player in the NBA has thought we was the GOAT or was going to someday be the GOAT. I’m sure Randle believed when he got out of high school that he was going to be as good as Lebron and Smart has obviously has a very inflated view of himself as well. He is not a 12-14M player, much less deserving more than that. He’s truly worth around 10M a year IMO, he can’t shoot really but is a very good defender. If he were to be offered 4 years 40 somewhere he’d be foolish to turn it down.
