Not sure what stat sheet you saw (they were all pretty off), but Randle didn't shoot four threes.

With all of the emphasis on "world class athletes" we sure do looked winded too many times during the first three games. And no one was playing in the high 20's low 30's as far as minutes go.
I will say with Lonzo, we are running transition plays at an epic percentage of our total offense. It's early and we really only have two games with Lonzo, so two isn't a trend...but what we saw in summer league was an extremely high percentage and that carried over to the first two games. It may take a bit for them to get where they want to, but eventually they have potential to run opponents into the ground. I think we'll need to see low minutes and lots of subs to keep that going.
Isn't it ironic that the players have to be in a far better shape to play with Lonzo - lmao!!

This pace provides opportunities for many players to get significant PT because a deep roster will be required

Luke is trying to identify and maximize players that make a positive impact (consistently) in games. Kuzma's impact provides a standard to judge others. DB has noted Randle's improvements but it pales in comparison to Kuzma -not a good sign for a player that has the agenda of getting a max contract.

At his present salary (see below), it is a good contract for both players. Good contract for a projected 4 years / $70M. He "can" be better than Draymond if he can make positive impact on the game by playing MUCH better D, shoot at much more efficient rate and make teammates immediately more accountable - since he doesn't play good D, much of the critique might be directed at himself. Are we basically seeing what kind of player he is? Is he a talented and physically gifted player that will have a long NBA career with many of his exploits seen on ESPN but is not a first option or captain material?

PROJECTED SALARY
Key: Player Option / Team Option / Qualifying Offer / Two-Way Contract
SEASON LOS ANGELES LAKERS
2017/18 $4,149,242
2018/19 $5,564,134
2019/20 $0
2020/21 $0
2021/22 $0
2022/23 $0
NOTES
He's making 26.99 percent more than in 2016/17.
He's the 215th best-paid NBA player this year.
He is projected to be the 158th best-paid NBA player next year.
He's the 83rd best-paid forward this year.
He is projected to be the 61st best-paid forward next year.
He's the 8th best-paid player of the Los Angeles Lakers this year.
He is projected to be the 5th best-paid player of the Los Angeles Lakers next year.
His agents are George Bass, Steve Heumann, Aaron Mintz.

If defense win rings, are Randle and JC the right players who have a lot of talent.

Interesting that Big Game James shared that Kuzma reminds him of Kwahi and Klay Thompson

The Mark Jackson words "Hands Down Man Down" should be poster in the locker room

I am not either but I thought I saw he took 4 3's. Its impossible to know since the NBA screwed up the box score and it isn't available!
