Is this a realistic goal for this season?

Nope let's trade him so the God Kuzma can start and we can sign Bron and PG13.

I don't even think BI can average 15 shot attempts.

Kuzma off the bench will probably avg more points than Ingram does in the starting line up.

If you fused five Ingram's together it'd still be a worse scorer than Kyle Kuzma.

Not this season, 12-13 ppg is more likely. But maybe in the future.

Not this season. He can't get off enough clean looks and hasn't proved he can shoot in this league yet.

I'd say he should work on his footwork and using his length to his advantage when defending. Great defenders are always very valuable in the league and defense can be consistent. Guys like Bruce Bowen or Tayshaun Prince, defense specialist while shooting three at a decent rate.

I really don't think he should focus on his scoring. I'll be happy with 15 ppg with shutdown defense.

He was never going to, and no one would have expected him to had Magic not opened his mouth and said it.

I love the way Magic maneuvered around the question about his expectations for him (and Lonzo) and brought it back to Kuzma.

Brandon never said anything about averaging 18+. I find it amazing how crazy negative fans get so quickly. The kid just turned 20.

1. It's a dumb goal, shouldn't have been expressed and is hurting BI and the team.

2. Yes he can... and we'll win 9 games or so for the season if he tries.

Ingram's just physically 2 years away from being a consistent 18+ppg scorer. I was buying into the hype but after seeing him these past few games he's still very far away.

Magic said it, not Brandon: "I told him ‘if you don’t average 20 points a game I’m going to be disappointed,' and 'we need him to step up and be the leading scorer on this team.' "
