The Semi-Daily Brandon

Per Trudell

Brandon Ingram participated in shootaround this morning in Memphis, but will not play in tonight’s game. He does continue to progress: he did 1-on-1 work on the court yesterday with assistant coaches and felt good today. Hope is he can do more tomorrow in Detroit.

Per Spectrum Sportsnet (So no link)

In his interview Luke Walton said that Channing Frye “could play“ but they’d rather not. Channing doesn’t quite feel “ready“ and Luke is concerned because he “hasn’t played basketball in a long time“.

So make of that what you will because the season is about to end and I personally don’t know what there is to wait for this point. But there you go.

3/24/18 vs Memphis Grizzlies

Thomas, Ingram and Hart - OUT

CaruGOAT has played all of his NBA games for the season but he's also listed as OUT with a concussion so he won't be playing any South Bay Lakers games for a minute. Get well soon ACFresh21!

Josh Hart Report

Per Bres

Josh Hart also participated in 3-on-3 scrimmage today and is progressing nicely but will not play tomorrow vs. Dallas.

Friday is the earliest he could return, as per the timetable released after he fractured his left hand.

Guy doesn't want to play for us. Banish him to whatever hole we threw Luol in

Isaiah Report

Per Tania G

Isaiah Thomas is having surgery on his hip today. Thomas tore the labrum in his right hip last March.

https://twitter.com/taniaganguli/status/979049318559592449?s=21

So actually Thursday

Surgery will be tomorrow, sorry.

https://twitter.com/taniaganguli/status/979049632184463360?s=21

Next time you want to rip a player for not playing through an injury, take a moment to think about what Isaiah Thomas has been through.

https://twitter.com/taniaganguli/status/979051034252226561?s=21

Indeed. Get better soon, IT.

Luke Walton said Josh Hart looked really good in 3-on-3 work but has yet to be cleared. Walton says if Hart continues to progress, he could be cleared for Friday.

Alex Caruso Update (???????)

Per Bres

Alex Caruso (concussion) is available to play tonight vs. Dallas.

https://twitter.com/mike_bresnahan/status/979059272502816768?s=21

Everyone is confused and asking about the 2 way but he hasn’t responded yet. I have been wondering why they’ve kept listing CaruGOAT in the injury report.

^I thought the 45 day restriction only lasts through the G-League season, which is over now. So Caruso can finish the season with the Lakers if he's healthy. Is this thinking correct?

From what I have read, it is correct. I forget the name but another team brought back their two way player to finish the season but he is ineligible for the playoffs.

Alex GOATruso Clarification

Per TooMuchMajicBuss
And now corroborated by Bres

To answer some Alex Caruso questions out there...

Because G-League regular season ended, players on two-way deals (like Caruso) can now play without restrictions for their NBA teams.

Caruso could have suited up Monday in Detroit but was sidelined by a concussion.

Lonzo just got his leg wrapped up with ice packs midway in the third quarter.

Will keep tabs...

Edit: A few minutes later the ice pack was already off.

2nd Edit: Lonzo left the bench and went back to the locker room.

FINAL EDIT: ZO OUT for the remainder of the game with a Left Knee Contusion...

Per Luke’s interview on spectrum sports net, Lonzo will get an MRI tomorrow quote just to make sure“. He apparently got knee-d in the back of the leg in the third quarter.
