@Lakers

Update: Lonzo Ball, who injured his knee in yesterday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks, had an MRI today. Results of the MRI revealed a minor left knee sprain.

Ball will be questionable for tomorrow’s game at Memphis.

Lakers say Lonzo Ball suffered a minor left knee sprain. He remains questionable for tomorrow but you don’t fly in two point guards if you think he’s going to play.

Yeah that was the info I was waiting for this morning but it didn’t happen before I had to leave so thanks to Vic for hooking it up.

Per Lakers

Brandon Ingram is a game-time decision after testing his injured ankle earlier in the day.

Lonzo Ball is out.

1/15/18 vs. Memphis Grizzlies

Lonzo Ball - OUT - (see above)

Brandon Ingram - OUT

Per Trudell: Brandon Ingram will not play tonight due to the mild left ankle sprain. Tough blow for LAL, with Lonzo Ball also missing the game.

Is this a case of weak ass players (soft as Charmin) sitting from very minimal injuries or is the front office (Maglinka) still babying their prizes??? Kobe must be spinning in his metophorical grave if the former is true.

UPDATES:

Per Trudell

Brandon Ingram practiced today in OKC, while Lonzo Ball did not. Likely indicates Ingram can go and Lonzo cannot tomorrow vs. the Thunder, but we’ll see what Walton says momentarily.

Per Trudell

KCP has a right Achilles tendon strain and is questionable to return.

Busy night

Per Trudell

Looked like Kyle Kuzma headed to the locker room. He was holding his hand late in that 3rd Q. LAL already without KCP and Lonzo tonight.

Per Trudell

Kyle Kuzma will not return due to a left hand fifth MP (metacarpal phalangeal) joint sprain.

Kuz Update Per Trudell

Kyle Kuzma thinks he’ll be OK with the hand injury. It’s sore, but on his left (non-shooting) hand. He’s hopeful he can play on Friday.

...and KCP

Doesn’t sound like anything serious with KCP, since he tested it out at halftime. The Achilles is sore postgame, but he’s hoping not to miss more time depending on how it feels tomorrow.

https://twitter.com/lakersreporter/status/953833739905372165

NOTE: people are asking repeatedly about Lonzo but so far Trudell is sidestepping the question.

Dammit. Sorry bro. It really sucks when players have to miss East Coast games since it's the one time they'll be there

Lakers will be short-handed once again tomorrow against Indiana. Lonzo Ball and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will be listed as out, with Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma questionable.

Julius Randle jammed his finger in OKC game. X-rays revealed a mallet fracture in his right ring finger. He’ll play against Indiana tonight, Lakers say.

No Lonzo or KCP tonight. Brandon Ingram will be a game time decision. Lakers might hold him out so he’s ready for Sunday.

Quote:
Lonzo did nothing on the court today, which was expected, so he’s a bit away from being able to return. Will need to go through a practice before playing again.

BRANDON UPDATE

via LFR/GT

I'm watching Brandon Ingram's pregame workout right now. This is presumably where they'll determine whether or not he'll play. So far, so good, but no cutting yet.

https://twitter.com/lakerfilmroom/status/954524212328189952

Ingram is driving to the basket at about half speed now, one-two stepping into layups. He looks like he's doing it gingerly, but he isn't grimacing or limping. It's just very deliberate.

https://twitter.com/lakerfilmroom/status/954524995954262016

Now Ingram has moved on to dribble pull-ups off of ball screens. Still slower/more deliberate than he usually looks when he does this.

https://twitter.com/lakerfilmroom/status/954525942478643200

GT is continuing to live tweet, but you get the drift so basically even if he does play doesn’t particularly sound ready to me but we shall see…. I will report back when we have a definitive yes or no.
