For those who still don't know, if we have a piss-poor record the odds of Boston getting the Lakers lottery pick increases, there is no reason to lose, even if the team is young it will be a nightmare to see Celtic fans rejoice by getting a top pick at the cost of the Lakers being a lottery team, that's also why I think we make a push to acquire DeMarcus Cousins.

DeMarcus Cousins teams always seem to lose a lot. He might just increase our odds of ending with a piss poor record and handing Boston our pick. I hear Brook Lopez might be available next year.

Cousins has never been in a right situation and even with the Pelicans, they have no bench, Rondo is out for a month and the Pelicans have thrust him into a role in which might not be a good fit for the team, I don't even want to bring up the Kings and there horrendous environment, if he came here he would benefit a lot more then what we have seen, I'm not saying he's gonna lead to a deep playoff run, but the Boston scenario might force the Lakers to make the trade.

30 wins, exactly. Most towards the end of the season after the all star break.

Come on man. The Lakers aren't going to make a trade just to prevent Boston from getting a better pick.

In GadgetLand, virtually anything is a reason a trade is looming =)

Whaaa?

We have bottom 5 PG in league, bottom 5 SF in league, below average PF and SG and C around 10-15 in league. Also one of the worst bench in league with Clarkson as a 2nd unit leader. Also Luke isnt best coach - we saw it last year.
What could you expect?

I don't agree, but, it wouldn't entirely surprise me if this happened. One thing to consider is that nearly half of our wins last year came courtesy of a couple guys who aren't here anymore. Nick, and particularly, Lou who came out the gate on fire.

Our young guys are better, but we're missing that veteran firepower and playing in a much tougher Western Conference.

Ingram or Lonzo - which one you want trade for Cousins in this (probably) case?

And DLO, he made Young-Deng-Randle-Mozgov unit +6.3/100 (Calderon or Ingram were -30/100 with these players). Its amazing but our s5 was not only competitive but overall +.

I'll flip it and say 35-47. I'd be happy with that.

Who cares? Either the Celtics will get it or the 76ers will -- either way we won't get it.

We'll make a trade if it makes sense for us. We're not going to make a bad trade in the hopes that it will help the 76ers keep our pick.
