Feel for this guy. Wonder if his current contract will mark the end of his career? Seems his body can't handle the game. I had hopes of him returning to LA as bench depth some day.

I feel a great disturbance in the internet, as if millions of nomadic forum sh_posters suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.

I sense great fear in you young Huey. You have hate, you have anger, but you don't use them.

Hate to see a guy like Lin who had to work so hard just to be taken seriously go down like that. Thankfully, he just signed that 3-yr/$36million contract last season. Between his Nets and Rockets contracts, he's been paid over $70 million in his career so far.

This could be more bad karma for the Celtics. They gave up that Brooklyn first round pick to Cleveland to get Kyrie.

Lin has a 2018 player option that he's now 100% going to opt-in for, which limits the Nets flexibility.

And, yeah, watch the Cavs get another #1 pick.

Two season-ending injuries in the first two days of the season. Geez.

Best of luck to Lin. Love him; his fans, not so much.

Off topic here, but, it could be bad karma for the whole league. If AD decides to pressure his way out of NOP, I could see Cleveland swinging for the fences with a package built around KLove + the pick or even the same parts they traded for (Crowder + IT + the pick) to bring in Davis. For sure, it's just speculation. But, have to think that AD will likely be looking to have some success sooner than later and it's not happening with his current team.

Starting five: LeBron-AD-Crowder-Wade-IT

Really hope something like that doesn't materialize.

The video is awful.. He just sits there staring at his knee in shock for a couple seconds, then busts in to tears. Really hard to watch, I feel terrible for him.

I don't like Lin fanatics. They're course, and rough, and irritating. And they get everywhere.

This blows. Lin seems like a good guy and is certainly a great ambassador for the sport. I hope he recovers completely and swiftly.

True. He's apparently a great guy off the court. His reaction is sad stuff

The Pelicans have Davis locked up for three years so he doesn't have much ability to pressure them.

If they move anyone, it will be Cousins.

Probably not this season. However, this Kyrie fiasco over the summer may have changed the "trade him now or get nothing in return" dynamic for superstars from one remaining season on the contract to two remaining seasons.

Reading up a bit more on patellar tendon injuries, and this is not good for Lin. He would've been better off with an ACL tear.
