Trudell said on today's show that it was likely the last show. I believe he said that Keyshawn gets an extra hour leading into Stephen A. Trudell mentioned that he would still fill in for shows that need someone that day. And Mychal would still do Lakers pregame.
It was the only show on ESPN Radio that I listened to with any regularity. Does KLAC have any good shows? I haven't listened in years. |

We need to start a petition to get Mychal Thompson to replace Stu Lantz as the color guy in TWC. I'm so tired of Stu and Mychal's commentary has always been interesting and energetic.
Trudell should also get his own show at TWC. |

He's just terrible and has been running on fumes since his KwaMAY Brown take. SAS is silenced when I skip over the KSPN button between 10-11:59am M-F. |

Nothing special is on KLAC during that time, nationally syndicated Colin Cowturd occupies the slot from 9am-noon. Then it's back to local programming with Fred Roggin/Rodney Peete 12-2 weekdays. Petros and Money take over from 2-7pm unless it is shortened to make room for Dodger pre-game.
Got to send this before my cell phone battery goes kaput. Freaking Granderson's a walking wind turbine who could probably charge this up in a jiffy. |

Heard that and was kinda bummed as I really enjoy Mychal. Loved him on 570 when he was Steve Hartman and Vic the Brick. Loved him when he was with Mark Willard. He's just a goofy guy.
Though I was really getting tired of their constant Warriors talk. Yeah yeah, Mychal's kid plays for them, I get why he goes on about them.
But I think Trudell went overboard with his constant praise. The way he would constantly rave about them, sometimes I thought I was back in NorCal. Just because Mychal's kid plays for them, doesn't mean that everyone wants to hear our local radio constantly talk about them. |

Yea. It was understandable from Mychal. I wish Trudell could have at least played the devils advocate more. The both of them together made it sound like you are listening to the Warriors commentators or something. Obvious Warriors deserve praise and are one of if not the biggest stories in sports, but it got to be too much.
Still very much enjoyed the show, but definitely agree about that. |

It's his shtick. SAS does it for a reason, he knows it aggravates many. He uses that aggravation to garner a audience. He laughs that 3 million a year aggravation all the way to the bank.

| Maybe Trudell just figured he didn't have the time to do it. I know he's starting a family...doing that show, and also doing the work he does for the Lakers, seems like it could be a lot during the regular season, and might have not left him much time to spend with his family. |

| I was really sad when I heard the news yesterday. They are a great duo, although I won't miss all the GSW's talk, but that is understandable. I'm guessing ESPN couldn't justify pay full salaries for an hour a day, but I know Trudell liked working for ESPN and all the perks like Disneyland for his family. |

| 710 went in the tank after Kellerman left, and dropping Dan LeBatard was the last straw. Replacing the best show in sports radio with freaking Keyshawn Johnson...just ugh. Don't know what that station is doing. |

I truly believe Trudell is Warriors fan the way he constantly fawns over them.
And Stephen A is the absolute worst. Station always changes at 10am. |

| The only show on LA sports talk radio that is even marginally interesting, for me, is Mason & Ireland. Petros and Money hardly even talk about sports, so that's a no-go for me. |

I'd still rather listen to that than anything else ESPN puts on the air. At least they genuinely have chemistry, and they actually talk about sports. I do admit that it annoys me how John frequently makes such ignorant comments, such as today when he said that Joc Pederson "is an outstanding defensive center fielder." Um, no John, no, he is not. |
