Lakers are looking like they'll be lucky to clear 20 wins this season.

Do you think any of these Superstars wanna end up on team that has such a low chance of winning, with or without their help?

No chance imo.

Only way any of these guys come is if they have this idea that they will get all the credit for the Lakers return to relevance. Don’t see any of them really thinking a sub-30 win team is a good place to go.

None...the belly aching on this forum is ridiculous....yes we've lost a series of games...but why is there so much whining...we've been competitive in most games absent 2-3 starters...playing mostly championship teams...rockets, warriors, cavs...seriously so many drama queens

Yeah because top free agents often join lottery teams.

Keep on dreaming, no one is coming here.

If the "stars" goal is to win championships then yeah the current pathetic record of the Lakers is a big red flag.

Durant doesn't join a 20 win Warriors team.

Probably the only chance is the "team up" dream where multiple stars join together thinking their skills can take a team from the bottom to the top which imo is extremely unlikely.

The best scenario would've been a young Lakers team that was near playoff level as that would be an attractive destination. This team and coaching staff? Not really.

This team has to win at least 30 wins to have meetings with max FAs. If we win the same 25-27 games this year, not a good sign and referendum on our core that would be joining the 2 max players.

Yeah if the Lakers only win the same amount of games as last year, that indicates that the "young core" is not progressing. Free agents don't want to join a stagnant situation.

prepare for a major disappointment when the only free agent we can sign for max is...Avery Bradley.

Good lord.

Lakers won't get him either. I'm sure Bradley will have an opportunity to go to a real team.

Magic seems to think that him being the pitchman will entice top-tier FAs to sign with a bottom-tier team. We'll see how that goes . . .

My most optimistic scenario is we get our starters back from injury, the team starts to gel post-ASB, and we go on a run at the end of the season and look like a real up-and-coming young team. For FA recruitment, how we finish the season is more important than how we started it.

It does really boil down to that. It's the approach that his charisma and midas touch will sway the max FAs and have them disregard the rather pedestrian team we have out there. I think there's a chance he can pull it off, but no dispute IMO that's the real strategy here.

we've got guys like Brook and KCP on expiring contracts that we should move to playoff contenders for some kind of value instead of sitting on our hands all summer watching player after player choose another team in free agency...

Bron was never coming. The only reason why he left his beloved Cleveland was to join the ultimate front-runner team with two other All-NBA players in their primes.

We did that last season and then sat on our hands in the offseason.

I hope it prevents the Lakers from obtaining Cousins.

Sadly, he's the easiest to get by far. He is right at home being the #1 guy for a bad team.

There’s little reason for me to think we can’t do exactly that.

Lebron coming to this team would be like he was back in 2007 carrying that Cavs team. Why in the world would he want to do this?
The only one I see having a remote chance of coming is Paul George, but would he make us instant contenders? NO.
