MLB draft was today and the Dodgers selected JT Ginn with their first round pick. One of the best fastballs in the draft and a plus slider. He'll probably be a closer-type pitcher unless he works on his delivery to become a starter. I thought the Dodgers might take a chance on Ethan Hankins, who at one point was considered a potential number 1 overall. Especially since he's got health concerns and we all know the front office likes taking chances on players with health concerns. They ended up doing so in the second round though when they drafted Michael Grove, who's coming off Tommy John and didn't even pitch this season. |

I can't believe they are only a few games out of first place after the terrible start.
I agree with you, maybe they squeek in this year and get hot at the right time. |
It has more to do with the fact the NL West is having a down year. _________________ KOBE |

Yes, and adkindo will love it, as Grove went to West Virginia. |

The pleasant surprise that is Matt Kemp this season continues...
Loved him in his first stint here, really pleased for him that he's been able to play so well this time. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

Every team in the NL West has a chance to win the division. Dodgers if they win today will only be 1 game back of the D'Backs. |

Our ace Ross Stripling is coming up big this year. Who knew?
Also the boys have won 14 of the last 18.

Another nice game by Stripling. He's been quality except for one outing. I think he has pitched himself into the rotation. Puig and Taylor both finding themselves at the plate. Puig has been great since the start of May. Another homer tonight. |

Man, I really think that Doc is a good coach. Guy keeps the team moving forward despite crazy injuries to the roster. Go Blue! _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

Would be an unbelievable get for us, trouble is he'd cost a fortune and then where do you play him and Seager next year (assuming we can retain Manny) _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

Yes, Seager should move to 2nd base if you signed Machado long-term, and it would be better for his elbow, anyway. Machado is also a better defender, and if the Dodgers thought Seager was good enough to handle SS, why wouldn't he be good enough for the easier position, 2B? |

Finally, the Dodgers can stop bringing him in high leverage situations for him to botch. |

While I've been waiting to hear this news for two years, I'm concerned this is just a short term in order to get Ferguson up here. Really really hoping this is a long-term, if not permanent thing. |

Seager was always projected to be a 3B eventually (although, that will be pretty tough on his elbow). I just don't see him having the agility to play 2B - he really didn't have it at SS either and instead relied on that gun he calls an arm to get him through.
I think CT3 could play 2B tho. Or Kiké. |

This home-plate ump is a joke.
He screwed us out of a rally last inning by calling a 3-1 pitch a good foot inside a strike to Valera, who then hits into an inning ending DP.
And then he calls the same exact pitch a ball to the Pirates batter the next inning for a walk that has led to 3 runs and breaking the game back open. |

The joy of no Baez lasted all of 8 hours. This clown is back and immediately gives up a run upon insertion into the game. |

And he got the win.
Dodgers' bullpen is just too inconsistent. |

Exactly. I lived up in the Bay Area in 2014 and was reveling in the Giants demise. They literally barely limped into the playoffs as the 2nd WC and then we all know what happened.
Just get in by whatever means necessary and go from there. |
