Scored 4 runs off the bullpen. What a devastating loss for the Brewers. The Dodgers had 16 guys in a row make an out, hit into too many double plays, couldn’t get a hit with the bases loaded and no outs, were robbed of a 2 run home run and still won.
Ryu was so clutch. He was the only bright spot in the first 6 innings.

This is exactly why not having a blow-up start and keeping your team in the game at least gives you a chance, and Kershaw has not done that far too often. Ryu's line doesn't look great, but he actually pitched well and allowing 2 runs doesn't kill you over 4.1 IP. |

For once I'm glad we are talking about the Dodgers opponent bullpen implosion. |

He's not good in the role and he's not even happy with it. He won't be on the WS roster if we advance that far. |

Funny I remembered you making that point as I was writing that.
One thing people keep mentioning is the velocity for Kershaw being down. In the past when his fastball was faster, I still remember him struggling to put hitters away in the playoffs and after 6 innings he was done. His era blew up after the 6th inning because he would run out of gas while having to work so hard in the first 6 innings. So even if he had a better fastball I still am not confident that would be enough. It would help, but would it be enough against this Milwaukee lineup? I don’t know.
Edit: He did get a lot more k’s in the past though. But I still thought he had to work too hard to get thru 6 innings.

I hope they keep throwing Jeffress out there so he can make angry faces while we blast hits off of him. If it weren’t for Grandal we could’ve shelled him even worse. _________________ |

Heard on MLB Tonight the Brewers are 80-3 this year when they enter the 8th with a lead. |

Roberts was pushing and pulling all the levers. Whether he got it right or not, JT most definitely pulled the one lever that bailed him out. JT was a gift from NY who keeps on giving--a true Dodger all time great who should never be forgotten by Dodger fans. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

The Brewers' best asset while the Dodgers' was their starters. Baseball, during the post season, is a very unpredictable game. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

That Game 1 performance was so out of character for JT. The way he has performed in the playoffs you expect him to go out there and get a big hit every game. _________________ |

Yeah, he doesn't have swing-and-miss stuff now so he's even more susceptible to the big inning. It would be nice if he somehow traded some velocity for a better heart rate under pressure, but that does not appear to have happened. |
