Lol, y'all expected anything less from Grandal? Well, maybe a game ending double play. |

Time to add to the list. |
Is responsible for the passed ball that lets a run score, strikes out with the bases loaded in the 9th. Guy keeps adding to the list.

I didn't. Which is why I was asking for a PH. |

Dave Roberts is simply not a championship-caliber manager. |

No pressure on him in that at-bat. But put a runner in scoring position and he looks like a deer in the headlights. |
I really wanted Grandal to have a big moment to help make up for his horrible mistakes. But of course he was a deer in the headlights instead. |

What a down to earth guy Ryan Braun is in the post game interview. LA kid, grew up wearing a Dodger uniform as a kid and was a Dodger fan. Sounds like there are a bunch of LA kids on the Brewers. Can he play catcher? I have a feeling we will be looking for a new one next season. |

Bases loaded and no bunts, sacrifice or anything to get something going. Sounds about right for this team. |

Grandal’s season should be done. I dont even want to see this guy pinch hit the pitcher’s spot. |

So our "ace" and his successor get lit up in this series...not a good sign. |

Saw this on Twitter:
'Grandal has 2 errors, 3 passed balls (should have 4 bad scoring) and has grounded into a DP with the bases loaded, struck out with runners in second and third, and struck out with the bases loaded.'
All this is basically two games and one AB in another.
He's just unplayable right now.
As much as Cody's sucking at the plate, he's still above average in the field. Plus his speed helps at the plate.
But still, don't care who is starting for the Brewers tomorrow. Cody needs to sit.
Roberts has already confirmed Barnes will start tomorrow (and hopefully the rest of the series). |

Roberts was pretty adamant about replacing Yaz with Barnes -- I think Yaz isnt playing anymore. |

The fact that he's announcing it 5 minutes after the games over is, hopefully, indicative of that. |

I guess its poor form to fire a manager fresh off a world series appearance but I definitely would not have complained if that happened right after last season _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Tomorrow is a must win. Hill will probably (hopefully) give us a good 4-5 innings max. But we need to snap out of our slumber and get early some offense tomorrow. Milwaukee has essentially dominated us (6-1 going into the 8th in G1, 3-0 in the 7th G2, and 4-0 after 7 tonight). Give him a cushion to work with and it changes the complexion of the game.
We cant keep playing from multiple-run deficits like that, especially with an anemic offense like this.
What's most maddening is seeing a guy like Aracia (three HRs on the whole season) hit two in this series (that, combined with that relief pitcher hitting a HR in game 1). Randomness of post-season baseball can be hair pulling at times.
This may be the last hurrah for this bunch - have to find a way to pull this series out.
Good decision to sit Grandal. He is horrendous so far and its in his head - on both sides - with the passed balls and 0-9 ABs and 13 men left on base with RISP. Cringe-inducing numbers. |
