Can you provide more insight on this? How can they even do that and what were they spying on?

They absolutely cheated. Also their starters have been cheating all year.

What, you don't buy that every pitcher that they acquire dramatically increases their spin rate and velocity by fair and honest means?

Probably, but from what people have seen, Darvish was tipping his pitches pretty bad. It wouldn't take a very sophisticated plan to notice his tips. Yu is the one to blame.

I put some blame on the coaching too for not noticing and not doing something about it.

Can’t wait to see Urias in the rotation next year. Kid showed no fear against the best part of their lineup.

Just needs to stay healthy. And he won't be in the rotation all year, no way. They need to limit his innings, and limit them significantly. Urias only threw 15.2 IP this entire season before the playoffs. So he'll probably end this season with something like 20 innings. They just can't push him and increase his innings too much next season. I don't even know if they can let him throw 100 innings next season. Just something to keep an eye on.

Of course, that's next year. Five wins down. Six more to go.

100%. How could they be so oblivious?

Will Hader be available tomorrow?

Announcers were saying no.

FWIW there’s this:

Quote:
Of Hader’s 55 relief appearances in the regular season, he pitched on back-to-back days only five times, most recently in late August.

If he pitches tomorrow it would be interesting to see how he looks when it would be 3 days in a row for him. A couple of guys did get hits off him in this game (but he also had 2 k’s)

I've got to think he's available for an inning tomorrow. Game 5 is a swing game. If they have a lead, I have to think they will get him in. This is the biggest game of the season. If he's in a position to help you, I think you have to use him.

Horrible start to the year. Injured for most.

Yeah - cringing game to watch. We are lucky to pull it out despite wasting so many opportunities early (and in the 8th). But postseason baseball is a lot about luck sometimes. Another upside is we burned through most of their pen, Kershaw is due to redeem himself, and our bats are seriously DUE.

Some great pitching by both pens, but kudos to Jansen (going the 10th), Wood, Floro and Urias for not buckling when it would have been easy for us to just lay down and concede.

Milwaukee was the team with zero hits with runners in scoring position in this game.

That throw by Yelich was a hair too slow from nailing Machado. Thank god he wasn't loafing it around the bases. Exhilarating...

That catcy by Belli in the 10th...wooo...

Yeah, he doesn't quite have the cannon of a guy like Puig or Judge or something, but it was still right on the money. Made it close.

If he pitches tomorrow, the max is one inning. It's a short turnaround, 14 hours or so.

Also, Knebel has pitched every game this series. Interesting to see if he's available tomorrow as well.

yeah, we made them burn through their pen. They only have one long reliever left: Woodruff. They used up Peralta and Guerra today. If we win tomorrow, we guarantee a game 7.

Miley goes tomorrow and Chacin game 6. They don't have much left for game 7. Probably come back with Gio, Peralta and Guerra

Since Gio hurt himself tonight, I am guessing that they will replace him on the roster with another pitcher, and that pitcher might be able to help them tomorrow. If they have a Game 7, they will probably just make it an all-hands-on-deck situation.

I believe the rule is they have their 25 man roster set. They can't replace someone until the next series.

They can replace him with league office approval for a similar player, but he would be ineligible for the World Series as a result.

I expect Kersh to have a really good game today. On the other hand, I don't expect the Dodgers to be running up the score themselves.
