They will be a bigger underdog than the 1988 team in my opinion. Unlike that team where they rode the hot pitching of Orel for the entire season, we don't have a pitcher that dominant this season. |
Yep. That's the big difference. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

We won't be underdogs that much, compared to the '88 team. The A's were an absolute juggernaut. Despite having Orel, that was a gigantic upset. Our starting SS was a .200 hitter. We had Mickey Hatcher starting. Gibson was injured. John Shelby was injured. John Tudor got injured during the series. Winning that in 5 games was just unreal; we obviously had the momentum of the Gibson HR in Game 1 and with Hershiser going in Game 2, we took a shocking 2-0 series lead. It also helped us that the NL had home-field advantage back in those days.
If the Dodgers face the Red Sox, we'll have recent postseason experience on our side, a team that can, in theory, go toe-to-toe with Boston in home runs, and we have more depth than they do. In addition, their bullpen is not impenetrable, and their ace has not looked like himself since coming back off the DL. This is nothing but a guess, but if we advance to the World Series, I'll say that the betting odds for the Series would be Boston -135/LA +115. |

By the way, the odds for tonight's game are dead even. It's -105 if you want to place a bet on either team tonight. |

Hopefully Kershaw’s last start isn’t the last time we see him in a Dodgers uniform. Win tonight! |

Don’t let the game get out of hand early. Keep within 2 runs if falling behind. I still think dodgers rather face brewers bullpen than starter. |

Media keeps saying how great Chacin has been. But in recent starts he has allowed people to get on base. Opportunities have been there to score off of him. Unfortunately this Dodger lineup is horrible at cashing in on those. |

Buehler looks like he has command. I like what I am seeing. Except for that Yelich HR of course. |

Manny looks awful. Guy reminds me of Dwight Howard. He pretends the booing doesn’t bother him but it does.
I didn’t expect that bunt though! |
