You can add Yu Darvish to that list for me. I am still traumatized by it and I am not kidding. |
Broxton as well. |

Guess Roberts and the front office are gonna give the opening day LF job to MattVP. Dude deserves it after a solid spring thus far and his new physique to boot looks great. Our pitching depth is shaky but who cares since the offense could erupt in a blink....only the Cubs and Nationals can match our bats in the NL. Outside Kershaw's starts you should expect a lot of 9-6 or 6-5 type scores.

How well Kemp holds up defensively will be key. Probably going to be a platoon of Joc/Kemp at LF. I'm stoked though. Kemp was a fan friendly guy out there and for once I can bring a jersey out of retirement because I have tremendous jersey curses... _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

Totally feel ya bro re: Matty's defensive deficiencies however it's not like Doc isn't gonna use that outfield depth to replace him in the late innings of a tight contest. Doubt it effects us in too many games unlike IT does for our Lakers.
As for dusting off and bringing back the Kemp27 jersey from yesteryear just be damn grateful the Dodgers haven't (bleep) up their color themes ala the Lakers/Nike did so the Dodgers still rock their true theming over all these years. |

LF is a good place to mask a poor defender though if Matt puts a little more of his newfound athleticism into fielding, he could be at least average. It'd be kinda why I'd want to keep Joc around just for that purpose. If Joc can re-find his swing (he's been abysmal in spring), that'd be great. Or maybe he's just a postseason hitter.
I quit buying NBA jerseys of current players once Kobe tore his Achilles when I bought his jersey on sale at the NBA store in NYC. The new Nike ones look fugly. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

Has anyone sat in the Dugout Club seats before? What are the chances of getting autographs? |

Yes. And very good. |
Sweet. I decided to splurge for a friday night April game. It's technically Baseline, right next to visitors dugout (section 26). Wondering what to expect. I usually just get regular field level between the bases but thought the free food and chances for souvenirs would be worth a little extra $ |

Visitors dugout tend to be standoffish (naturally), unless you're wearing their logo gear. They probably won't acknowledge you unless you're really showing off their stuff. If you're gonna splurge, might as well pay a few extra bucks and sit on the Dodgers side. Baseline's a bit different from the Dugout (My season tix pool has three areas, field on visitors, baseline and dugout on home team). Food's not as selective and you better get to know the ballboys for those foul balls (Javier's a nice guy and bring a kid if possible). Fan-friendly players: (Kemp, Kershaw, Puig, Jansen, Hill, Joc, Turner, Utley, Ryu), Fan-unfriendly players: (Grandal, Seager, Toles, Maeda). I think every Dodger fan should experience Dugout Club at least once. Simply more magical than a trip to Disneyland.

^ Wow, I'm jealous of your seats, those are AMAZING. Maybe for the next game I'll do that. We got the tickets for this game already and the only reason is because there was less than a $100 difference between these and the regular field level.
Yours would run in the $500-800 range? more...? |

Thanks man. For our Dugout seats, they're $820 a head under season tix package. Baseline is $320. Field is $87. We end up selling a good chunk of our tix anyways and can fetch anywhere from $450-2000. The WS Game 7 game, we could've made enough to pay for another year. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

Hoping this season can make up for the game 7 that should have been ours. Hmm, $450 isn't too bad at all considering the probability of autographs/balls/etc. I'll definitely be looking into that for my next game. |

It was deflating to go in person. Even more deflating when you realize you could've gotten $5000+ just for Field if you sold on Stubhub or Ebay. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

Twins sign Lance Lynn 1 year 12 million. I mean really? This sabermoron FO gave Scott Kazmir that much for multiple years and he was coming off a (bleep) season and is way more injury prone. Maybe Lynn's not an ex-Ray or ex-A so this POS FO wouldn't even sniff that. Easily an upgrade over Maeda/Ryu and upside is finding a quality #2 to bump down Hill/Wood to their rightful spots in the rotation. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

Lynn is not a #2 and is more like a #3/4. He's always had iffy peripherals and his greatest ability has been to eat innings. He wasn't going to move the needle for us. Now, if Arrieta's price is insanely low, he would move the needle IMO. I wonder if Arrieta is going to be forced to take a 1-year deal and go back to the market next season. If so, I think the Dodgers would be smart to get in on him. |

Arrieta has Boras. That guy would make mincemeat out of this FO at the negotiating table. I remember reading something about the Fiedman and Boras being essentially mortal enemies (which is gonna really stink when Bellinger and Seager need re-ups). I would be honestly surprised if Arrieta becomes a Dodger. TBH, if he's resigned to a 1 year deal, it'd be perfect for both parties. He can join a contender, Dodger Stadium and Honeycutt will do wonders for his season stats, and the Dodgers won't have to be saddled with a long deal and get a #2 guy with postseason experience. But I'm not holding my breath. Arrieta's not an ex-Ray/A and his agent is Boras. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

That's true that Boras is his agent, but he is also Moustakas' agent, and he went back to KC on a 1-year deal. There still might be a multi-year deal out there for Arrieta, but if the price drops enough, maybe we'll be able to swoop in. |

Boras has a much better relationship with the Royals than he does Dodgers right now. I have no doubt Arrieta may eventually settle into a 1 year deal but odds are it's not going to be with us. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

Still baffled why Grandal was brought back as Farmer or this kid appeared capable.
Same (bleep) about Utley, waste of salary and roster spot where Peter is ready to rock in the big leagues at a rookie scale contract....just some dumb moves. |

This is why he's been off the table in any trade talks for us. Once Kershaw starts to decline we should have another #1 waiting in the wings. |

Also Urias if he ever gets going is a future #2 behind Walker in the rotation. |
