Two more HR and 6 RBI for Machado tonight. Damn, I wanted to trade for him this offseason and move Seager off SS, if the prospect cost had been reasonable. (I wouldn't move Buehler for him for sure, though.)
Jon Heyman still considers us the favorites for him when he's inevitably traded. I'm just not sure that I see Friedman parting with the type of prospect or prospects that it's going to take. And pitching might be the bigger concern, anyway. But I love Machado's talent. |

Sucks...We're facing the pathetic 7 ERA Matt Harvey, and just might get worked by him too. |

This team is unwatchable right now. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

sad thing is a mediocre Harvey is one of the better pitchers on our team.....good news for Dodgers fans is Homer Bailey is supposed to take the mound tonight. |

Had they signed Alex Cobb back then they would've gotten that well deserved office makeover, they probably need a office Greyhound bus at this rate. |

Bellinger simply can not catch up to the high fastball....or at least he has not been able to this series. |

Stripling was dealing, and only at 78 pitches. Wrong move by Roberts to pull him. |

What's sad is that this team just finds new ways to lose each night...Either the lack of offense, or their bullpen giving away the game. |

Also, that HR actually looked catchable by an athletic outfielder who could jump a little. |

I mean he let the guy bat last inning with 2 guys on base and 2 outs....then the Reds get a weak hit off him, and he pulls him. It makes no sense. |

Any other team would've plastered Bailey with 7-8 runs by now but this Dodgers team is so comically inept with RISP. |

We are going to be like last years Cubs. Start off slow and barely make the post season then get killed in the first round. |

Its a good thing the D-Backs have lost 4 straight otherwise they would be even further back in the standings. |

Losing to the Reds again....5-3....Dodgers should be sweeping this team and getting within 4.5 games of the D-Backs instead they aren't doing anything. |

Votto comes up, so the shift is on again. Nevermind he saw that ((bleep)) earlier, then ((bleep))s all over the shift again with his 2nd hit. |

Does anyone think it's time for Dave Roberts to throw a preplanned tantrum in the locker room to fire up this team? I know it sounds weird, but I've read it's something that at least some coaches or managers will intentionally do once a year at the right time. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

I hope this is the low of the season and we can only get better...I mean it doesn't get worst then being on the verge of getting swept at home by the Reds does it? One the plus side, since 70% of LA households still can't watch the Dodgers on TV, they are saved from watching this horror show. |

Back in the day, Tommy Lasorda used blow up like Mt Versuvius to light a fire and get the team back on track. It worked more often than not, players seemed to shake off the malaise and get back to business. It's quite a contrast with Roberts, even when the Dodgers had that 11 game losing streak last year, he didn't seem to change his style as the losses piled up. Doubtful he'll change things now even with these losses to the Reds of all teams. |
