For what it's worth. Perhaps precursor to physical in event of a trade? |

Or just checking to see how his shoulder is holding up going into All-Star weekend. |

Doubtful, probably just a check up on his shoulder. Unless KG or Duncan are coming to the Lakers, don't expect to see Odom traded. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I don't know. I think Larry Brown is in love with him and he'll win any power struggle w/ Isaiah at this point. I don't know if we can get Frye out of them, but a combo of Penny, Lee, Robinson, and Ariza gets us some good young triangle friendly talent while losing Odom's contract. |

No, but he is better than some of that garbage that you guys pick out in trades and, actually believe will help this team... _________________ "According to ESPN.com's conference projections, the Lakers will finish 12th in the West, which prompted Bryant to tweet earlier this offseason, "12th I see.." |

Lmao, those trades we pick up will do anything better then Odom doing in the court, and lets not forget those guys we pick up in the trade don't become mentally stunted when the game is on the line like Odom. |

It's probably a regular appointment to check his shoulder. The Lakers won't send him in for a physical just in case they get an offer for him. That's the other team's job to give the physical - after the deal is done. _________________ You are under no obligation to remain the same person you were a year ago, a month ago, or even a day ago. But they know the trade can't be rescinded if he fails their physical. They just gave him one and he passed. Odom would probably also be agreeable to being traded to his hometown of NY.
I'm also just speculating. Most likely it was just a checkup, but there is some validity to it. |

Yeah. Then he ran over the MRI tech and got called for a charge. |

They also don't know the triangle, so yeah, great idea...let's start trying to teach the triangle to rookies, who are expected to fill odom's role on this team, while we are trying to make the playoffs. Yeah big step forward... I'm sure that's just what phil wants, more rookies! That's just a brainless suggestion right there. The last thing this team needs is more rookies!!! If we're making a trade it's for a veteran so just stop with the let's get frye/lee for odom (bleep), ok? please? It isn't going to happen! |

so we lose 2 rebounders, and our first and second string sf for a 1st string sf?
so we are left with
smush/sasha
kobe/?
lewis/luke
cook/ronny
kawme/bynum
that doesn't make us better |

Quote: | Injury Updates
Lamar Odom, who has sprained rib cartilage, had a magnetic resonance imaging exam on his right shoulder Tuesday that revealed no damage.
He's played in five straight games after missing two.
Kwame Brown also got an MRI and CT Scan on his sore left foot that revealed no damage.

From the press enterprise...but what do they know? I'm sure it's really a smoke screen for a physical so they can trade him, though...I mean it couldn't be that they want to make sure he isn't damaging his shoulder/making it worse by playing 5 games with an injury...

Something else right now I would be willing to bet huge on. You would have problems getting the Lakers to include Dev in a deal next week. Dev is the bench these days. He found himself again and, has become a welcome sight into the games. If you're talking about improving this squad getting rid of Devean would not be the route to take. Not on this day... _________________ "According to ESPN.com's conference projections, the Lakers will finish 12th in the West, which prompted Bryant to tweet earlier this offseason, "12th I see.." |
