I saw a copy of the script. It starts the day before Riggs is scheduled to retire. Murtaugh is at his assisted living facility, arguing with his wife about whether he needs to go to the retirement party in a wheelchair. From time to time, he asks, "So who was this guy again?" As they talk, he notices an orderly covertly slipping bottles full of blue pills to other residents. He mutters to himself, "I need to ask Jodeke about that."

It goes from there.

Damn AH you let the cat out of the bag, I'm Black, you're White. You signed a confidentiality clause not to disclose our partnership. Look for a process server knocking on your door, room 5 at the facility. Hell, lets do the film, we're not to old for this ish.

Hollywood lacks originality.

I did enjoy the movies as well as the TV series.

I hope Damon Wayans and Clayne Crawford make appearances if it happens.

I don't think originality is the culprit here. IMO it's franchises.

Franchises are a Hollywood staple. Some are great, Star Wars (which IMO has lost it's luster) Indiana Jones (failed last episode) Rocky 5 and Rocky Balboa. I could go on and on. Lethal Weapon is a franchise.

If this one makes money don't count out a (Danny Trejo, Danny Glover, Bad Asses) like movie. Two old dudes kicking ass.

I enjoy the TV version very much I was surprised at how good it was I'm skeptical when they turn movies into TV shows but this worked and its fun to watch.

I like it too. Who made the show for you Damon Wayans or Clayne Crawford? She didn't make the show but I'm a Keesha Sharp fan.

I think their mutual chemistry does however I think Trish steals every scene she's in.

I've always liked Keesha Sharp since she was on Girlfriends(a sitcom she was on with Tracee Ellis Ross)

Plus they have real diversity it actually portrays LA rather accurately.

I think Clayne Crawford is too over the top for the Riggs character...and yes....more Keesha Sharp!

His character is definitely crazier than MG's version.

I also think Damon's Murtaugh is much softer than DG's version.

So I think it fits because of that.

Seann William Scott (Stifler) is replacing Clayne Crawford as Riggs in season 3 of the television series.
