Love his intensity on the defensive end but yeah he is kinda all over the place on O.

Some nights I think we would be better starting Clarkson and having Nwaba as his back up.

I can't say ballhog but it just seems like Luke lets KCP do his own thing, he definitely jacks up whatever shot he wants. Luke definitely lets him get away with a lot of things. He's not on a short leash like Kuz or Randle.

It seems like he takes a lot of shots outside of the rythm of the offense, especially those semi-contested transition 3's where there is another Lakers barreling down the lane. I guess Steph Curry does it so that is what goes for solid basketball these days.

Didn't we promise him the starting spot when we signed him? If we benched him would there be any repercussions?

Why is KCP allowed to take transition threes?

Probably because on average they're efficient shots, and the team is desperate for made threes.

I'm not a big fan of his game, but can see why he has a "green light" relative to his teammates.

Love KCP Defense and Offense

That is what happens when you don't have a star you don't have that player that you live and die by. With that being said who ever is open they should shoot.

So will this mean that Brewer will start? I don't think Luke likes to mess up his 2nd unit.

KCP gets away with a LOT of questionable shots. He has the green light to shoot anytime he wants. Pretty much Lakers want KCP's 1 year tenure here to be happy so he could tell his agent Rich Paul bff of Lebron.

Yup. They're like, "Go ahead and play for your next contract. It's all about you. Fire away."

If we are trying to get Kuz to play within the flow of the offense, then why do we let KCP fire away like he does?

A backcourt of KCP & Westbrook would be a thing of beauty in my eyes. Not sure if OKC will enjoy having a squad of 3 ball stoppers, but that's none of my business. 😝

Because KCP is a gun for hire. There's no point in trying to mold him.

Okay, what's going on with KCP? John Ireland said he knows why he was out but can't say, but thinks it will eventually become known. Also said KCP being out was a blessing because of the way Hart played. Why the secrecy?

Looks like they are talking to somebody about trading him.

Luke said things were happening pretty fast in real time. So maybe

Let’s play a little nba soap opera:

1. Lebron tells Rich Paul that he doesn’t see himself signing in LA. Lakers not ready for Primetime.

2. Pelinka relays the news. Magic says “well now we don’t have to kiss Paul’s ass anymore. What can we get for KCP?”

3. Pelinka: “X team is offeri...”

4. Magic: “Do it!! NO ONE (bleep) with Magic!!”

"...we are here today to announce the acquisition of the newest member of the Laker family, hes a former allstar, he will provide a lot of energy on the court and mentor these young kids out here. we are honored to have him here with us today, he is someone we really wanted to have and we are happy the negotiation went as we planned. Joakim will be speaking to you now so feel free to ask him anything..."
